Fabulous service with Wes. So attentive! We enjoyed a visit involving margaritas on a gorgeous February afternoon. So fun to sit outside and watch all the traffic on the Katy Trail. The margaritas were fabulous. Chips and salsa were tasty. Wes was the best! Had to get a t-shirt to remember our fun outing!

Amazing patio full of seats, shade, fans, and tvs. The food is alright but the drinks (specifically the margaritas) are very good.

Location is a little confusing just because the entrance is through a parking garage, but they have signs that you can follow to the garage. There was no valet when I went (a Saturday night), but since the entrance was in a garage there was plenty of parking that’s free.

They have a great happy hour and the atmosphere here is great! I thought the margaritas were great but that the food was just average. We got the carne asada tacos and chicken quesadillas. They were both just average. Overall, I would come back and just get drinks.

The location of Tequila Social is phenomenal, and this time I was seated on the patio, which was lovely. The staff is friendly, and the service was good overall. I brought my dog and five friends for dinner, one of whom brought her child. While I understand this establishment isn’t particularly catered to families, having drink options and a small children’s plate on the menu wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Food & Drinks:
The chips and salsa left much to be desired—they lacked flavor and weren’t seasoned properly, resulting in a very bland taste. For appetizers, we ordered empanadas. Despite the great presentation, the accompanying sauce and cheese were underwhelming, which felt like a missed opportunity to elevate the dish.

We tried several rounds of cocktails. While we finished them, they weren’t anything special or memorable—nothing that stood out as picture-worthy.

For our main dishes, we ordered chicken nachos and quesadillas, which were good and came in large portions. The steak tacos were nicely seasoned, and I enjoyed the flavors and the fried tortilla. However, offering garnishes like cilantro or onion could have elevated the experience.

The fish tacos were also good but could have been improved with additional dressings or garnishes. Someone in our group ordered fajitas, which were okay, but the smoky presentation isn’t my favorite since it leaves everyone smelling like the dish afterward.

Overall Experience:
This visit was better than my last, but it still felt like an average experience. There were hits and misses, and while some dishes showed promise, others lacked flavor or felt incomplete. With some adjustments—especially in seasoning, garnishes, and drink presentation—Tequila Social could deliver a much stronger dining experience.

This place has really improved. In most ways, it's now better than the Katy Trail Ice House further up the trail. The menu is much improved, with tasty tacos made with fresh ingredients and great deals on good drinks. The service is prompt, professional, and polite: they're glad to see you and appreciate your custom. And the location is unbeatable. Great spot to kick back on a weeknight evening and watch a game.

We stopped at tequila social while on a Katy Trail walk. I was skeptical given the 3.6 star rating, but, let me tell you, this place rocks. The atmosphere, food, and service were all so great. We had Lucy, and she was such a phenomenal waitress with perfect recommendations and consistent, attentive, and friendly service. We had drinks (skinny marg, trail rider loma, and ranch water), chips, and the watermelon salad. Everything exceeded expectations— even the chips and salsa, which were far more flavorful than any Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in Dallas. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of food and service. We had such a great time — will definitely be back! Wouldn’t change a thing.

Good service, chill vibe, relaxed crowd, but the food was ALMOST there in flavor. Don’t hold back on the seasonings. Coming back for the drinks for sure but food … the flavors need to stop being shy.

Perfect Happy Hour Spot! Right on the trail, also easy to drive to, with good parking.

HH drinks and food are delicious. Sat at the bar. Service was fantastic. Will be back.
