Food was good, service was very lacking for a restaurant of this caliber, music was so loud you couldn’t hear the person across from you.
First, the food was really good. The shareable options (bao buns and bang bang cauliflower) were the star and better than our entrees. Great flavors, spice and textures.

Second, service was very disappointing. It was a Sunday night and not busy. We waited 10 minutes and finally asked a server walking by for service. Waiter never checked on us, had to waive down other servers for more water, utensils, and sauces after our food was delivered. Staff seems untrained and management no where to be seen, which is probably the root issue.

Atmosphere. The restaurant is nice and well designed but the music was so loud you couldn’t talk. Additionally the restrooms were in desperate need of cleaning.

Overall this could be a great spot if they can address service and atmosphere. Your best bet is to get food to go (we observed a lot of to go orders)!

The restaurant has a fun, open atmosphere with a modern Japanese-inspired design and touch. The mix of communal seating and slotted wooden panels gives it a nice balance of social and semi-private dining. A big plus—they make each dish as it’s ordered, rather than keeping food on warmers.

Now, the food: The Grilled Duck Ramen was the highlight—rich, flavorful, and bold. The Bang Bang Cauliflower is okay, it had a nice crunch and spice but a bit too oily. The Ginger Chicken Udon was fine but nothing memorable.

And the Sake Flight? Let’s just say we took the $17 hit so you don’t have to—tiny pours and not much variety.

The staff is friendly and attentive, and the vibe is great. If you’re looking for a fresh, casual Japanese-inspired meal, it’s a solid spot. But for more authentic flavors and considering the cost, I’d steer toward Wabi House or Manpuku instead.

Very interesting vegan options indeed. We liked the ones we tried. The menu has very few vegan and vegetarian options.

The service, probably nothing to do with the waitress who served us, could be better. The bubble tea we ordered came at the end of the course, the appetizers just before that followed by all the main dishes.

Very good and inviting ambience. Would love to come back again.

Celebrated my sons bday here last night. I will say the parking situation was a little challenge. Either $40 for a cash lot quite a walk, or grocery store across the way. The restaurant vibe is absolutely stunning. The staff, including the manager Brennan & food expediter LaQuita were phenomenal. The service was a little lacking, I never got a refill, and had to constantly ask for one for my family. Our food order was incorrect, and we were missing our Tokyo fries. I also hoped they would acknowledge my sons bday, which is why were there to celebrate, and I mentioned it in tje reservation, when we arrived, and twice to our server. We found out it was our servers first night, which is fine. Everyone deserves grace, hopefully it was a teaching lesson. Any issues were resolved quickly. The food & vibe overall made up for anything that was lacking. I'd go back for sure! Try the fried chicken bag buns, Tokyo fries, spicy brisketet rice, any of the Ramen. And we love they serve Boba, just wish it were bigger šŸ˜„

The interior is lovely, and the ambient music sets a nice vibe, but that’s where the positives end. Each tea is $6 and tastes like nothing, the meat was overly fatty, and the food took forever to arrive. Style over substance, unfortunately.

It did not meet my expectations. I was very hesitant going as I saw many negative reviews. Still gave it a try, not sure if I will go back again. It's a great location and the setup is fabulous but food and the service was below par. I also had to ask if I can have something to drink like water. Lack of training with the staff maybe.

Reservation was at 7:45p. We got there on time and was seated by 7:50p. No one came to our table until 8:00p (10 mins of waiting), a guy who wasn’t sure about Valentine’s day dinner promo that’s happening. We asked for water to start, which didn’t arrive until 8:05p. We asked for another waiter that’s more attentive, which is not that much different, we ordered a drink at 8:05p and it never came until 8:16p. At this point, we have been at the restaurant for almost 30 mins. The server hasn’t even asked for what we want to order!

More drink orders came at 8:25p (35 mins after seated) and it was my first drink besides water! I ordered Yuzu. It was cute, came with a flower petal and all but the alcohol was very diluted for a $14 drink.

Appetizer came at 8:30p and main course came at 8:35p (45 mins after seating).

Bottom line, if you’re in a hurry or came in hungry, you’re SOL. The service was just unacceptable.

Oh, their 18% tip is basically 20% pre-tax amount (another way to cheat customers for 2% extra money). Not cool!

Food wise, we ordered
- cauliflower bang bang that is pretty flavorful.

- the duck ramen is good and bad. The noodle texture is good, but they gave very little noodles for $24 bowl. The duck is nicely seasoned. The broth, however, was soooo salty that I had to ask for hot water to dilute it. Also, ramen came out lukewarm while I asked for extra hot broth.

- their promo dish, ayam geprek inspired crispy chicken dish was not authentic. I am Indonesian and I know what this dish should taste like. The tomato sauce was more suitable for ratatouille. The coconut rice was too mushy. The pickled veggies need more seasoning. The chicken itself was good, the only saving grace of the dish.

- the one that is good is banana katsu. Crispy fried banana with salted caramel ice cream. No complaint on this dish.

Will I go back? No.
Will I recommend this to another person? No.

We enjoyed our food so much! The vibe is awesome and spacious. Allows for good conversation. However, the wait staff did interrupt our conversations frequently. Will definitely be coming back!
