The Cathedral is such a hidden gem in our Diocese. Fr. Nick Adam ha salways been super kind and the entire parish is welcoming. The mass here is a perfect blend of traditional and new.

Traditional Catholic services, friendly and welcoming parishioners. Beautiful church with stunning stained glass window artwork throughout, clean, RCIA program, and in safe downtown area walkable to State buildings and a park too. Must see church!

It's been a while since I visited this cathedral. came to Saturday service last week and today. I feel very comfortable and blessed in this church. really enjoy the service. And father nick is so connected to the holy spirit. I will continue coming here.

Looks like it has two places for real. The building that looks like a cathedral is across the street. Gothic revival architecture in a nice place downtown Jackson.

I would like to respond to the wedding photographer who “could not do their job” because they were not allowed in the sanctuary during the wedding ceremony.

Weddings are not events purely for the ‘show’. This is a sacrament that Catholics take seriously. In the past when photographers were allowed in during the ceremony, they have been know to stand on the side altars, wander all around the main altar during Mass, or even asked to have the altar removed to allow more room ... all of which is totally disrespectful and does not allow the priest to “do his job.”

The best pictures are taken prior to the wedding, and believe it or not, some nice photos can be taken ‘through the glass’ on the vestibule doors. I know this for a fact ... because of my own sons wedding.

The Cathedral is a very beautiful and welcoming church.

Do NOT plan your wedding here!!! I am a photographer and I recently shot a wedding at this church. I've never experienced such rude "wedding coordinators" (so they call themselves)! If you're wanting to use this church because of how beautiful it is, forget it. You won't be able to even have photos of that because they don't allow the photographers inside the sanctuary during the ceremony. I literally wasn't allowed inside the sanctuary or allowed to do my job. I was told I had to shoot through some glass on the doors leading into the sanctuary.
If you're not Catholic and you're just wanting a cathedral look in your photos, you won't even be able to get that because those photos aren't possible to take because of their rules!
I say this from a heart of wanting my couples to have amazing photos of the best day of their lives! And I wasn't able to give that to my recent couple because of the restricting and unnecessary rules they have set in place.

Upon being here I felt peace. There was no stares, or judgments. At the end of the service I was greeted by a priest who was very nice and welcoming. I definitely will be back.
