I have used hornady to hunt for a couple years. Got into reloading and figured use their projectiles for my 7mm rem mag, 6.5 creedmor, and my 30-06. I purchased 2 boxes of hornady 129 grain sst for my 6.5 and out of those 200 rounds maybe 60 were weighed in at 129 gr. I called to talk about their expectations due to having such inconsistency from 128.4-129.2 gr bullets and was shocked to find out they pass 128.4-129.6 grains with the response from hornady being that those won’t effect shots. Anyone that reloads knows that much of a change in powder charge will absolutely throw shots. I’ll be looking into other brands to use to reload from here on out.

I use to love this brand. I had an issue with some projectiles I purchased for my .350 legend. A 165 grain projectile should weigh about that. Well surprise it doesn’t. My 165 grain projectiles had a swing 163.9 grain to 167.2. This is insane to me. When I called I spoke to a nasty troll that told me all bullet manufacturing has a small margin. 3 grain swings are not normal. I spend between 30 and 60 dollars per box to reload and have been taken advantage of. Had I not tested 3 different projectiles with Hornady having a huge margin on all powder loads I would have never taken the time to weigh each bullet. Only about 15 percent weighing the adversed grain and the swing being that large I will no longer ever use Hornady. I will also be seeking legal counsel on false advertising over the thousands of dollars I personally use to spend on their products. No i will not call to have someone tell me they are sorry and no i will never spend another penny with you. I would rather spend $200 dollars for ammo than give you my business any further.

SHAME ON YOU FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE AND LOSING TRUST.

Absolutely great products, right up there with Nosler and Barnes, and definitely ahead of Federal. I reload almost exclusively Hornady bullets and they have always been very accurate and performed well. Go for Hornady.

I bought a $3,600 SnapSafe #75013, Super Titan XXL Double Door safe, and it showed up with a broken locking pin on the lock clutch plate.

Hornady sent me a new clutch plate without instructions or offering assistance on the removal and replacement.

It's apalling that a brand new Chinese-made piece of feces safe shows up with an unlockable door. Great.

The locking handle is a 3 spoke setup, and it works as a lever. The problem is that the fulcrum is poorly designed, and it takes excessive force to rotate the spokes to open or close the dead bolts.

I own or have owned a Sportsmen Steel safe, a Cannon 55 safe, and a Browning brand safe.

In excellent hindsight, I should have bought a Fort Knox safe with the rack and pinion mechanism driving the locking bolts instead of the Snap Safe that comes with a horribly designed locking bolt setup requiring excessive force to lick and unlock.

Safe you sanity - buy something else.

UPDATED 1/16/2024:
Hornady sent me a new clutch plate to replace the broken clutch on the delivered safe. Unfortunately, there are no instructions included. Furthermore, their repair or replacement warranty is BULLSHIT!

They'll send you new parts, but you are on your own to hire locksmiths or technicians to fix their DEFECTIVE PARTS!

TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE - DONT DO BUSINESS WITH SNAPSAFE - HORNADY WILL CORNHOLE YOU!

-UPDATE. 1.9.24-
Hornady reached out to me via YouTube and sent a replacement safe that arrived a couple days ago, as well as attempting to identify the employee and particular phone call. I will attempt to monitor the new product and update if there are improvements according to the 2 original issues.

-Approx 3 weeks before next update

Bought the clock safe products and the clock is always off in a short amount of time. Suddenly after several months the green lock light stays on.

Called customer service and the call was answered by a sarcastic passive aggressive trash employee.

He claimed that I could mail the heavy thing in but the processor has not and will not be corrected as they use the same one and "are trying to find another processor" since it's inception.

He also claimed that the green light has always been a constant light although I told him repeatedly that was not the case when I purchased it. He mocked me for saying the green lock light defeated the low profile purpose of the safe saying "oh wow, a giant greenight that's 1/2" tall"

This man has represented Hornady as an absolutely disgusting company to deal with. I told him that was **** move and he said I was being "aggressive"

Lol find a way to live better

Hornady makes some of the best equipment and ammo in the world. In my opinion, it is the BEST factory ammo and reloading supplies that money can buy. Accurate, consistent, dependable. The pics speak for themselves.
