One of my favorite eateries! A nice variety of freshly made food and everything done right!! You want healthy, try a powerbowl you want something crazy good, get the knish burger or the "all the way" burger. The panini's are freaking awesome, I recommend the cuban or turkey jalapeño and also, try a milkshake you won't regret it.

I heard about the restaurant from Guy Fieri and wanted to try the spaghetti squash primavera. I got it as takeout and it came in a container wrapped with cling wrap. The food was so delicious. The spaghetti squash was cooked just right so it had a slight firmness to it. The primavera sauce was smooth tasting and the vegetables were all cooked and seasoned well. Unless you're vegan, definitely get the cheese on top. I think it made the meal even more delicious. Also, I enjoyed the retro style of the restaurant.

1st time visiting The Pit Stop of Merrick today. Food excellent, atmosphere excellent and service was phenomenal from Angelica ...I will definitely make this my dailly lunch spot ...way to go Angelica and team...

Feels silly calling the pit stop a hidden gem when it’s been featured on the food network, but that’s exactly what it is.

From the outside it looks like an unassuming burger joint, but stepping inside its quickly apparent there’s so much more going on.

We started with the sides of their delicious house made soup along with a fresh summer salad. A delicious clam chowder and probably the best butternut squash soup I’ve ever had.

Split a simple yet perfectly done steak sandwich as well as some phenomenal brisket tacos that were on special. The homemade sauces perfectly complimented the delicious tacos. These should be added to the menu IMO.

After hearing another table raving over the homemade coconut cream cheese cake we forced ourselves to order that and an apple turnover. OMG THE BEST COCONUT CHEESECAKE I have ever tasted. I will travel just for another slice of that delicious cake.

Oh and the whole time the owner Tony was popping over to each table with a familiar greeting or a quick witted one liner checking on everyone. There’s no wonder this spot has been open and serving the local community 20+ years. A true discover yet still somehow hidden gem!!!!!!

I was curious about this restaurant since Guy Fieri featured this establishment on his tv show. I ordered a quinoa burger and onion rings and thought the food was pretty yummy. The quinoa patty is decently sized and very healthy.

Small restaurant off the side of sunrise highway. Has lots of food and drink options. The place is very friendly and homey. There's a number of healthy food options like the power bowls and salads. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Great spot , I’ve been here a few times a while ago, hasn’t changed. The woman at the counter was very nice and accommodating. I had a chicken portobello wrap which was so fresh and delicious , and a strawberry shake . That shake was one of the best I’ve had in a long time . Highly recommend this spot for a nice quick lunch .

The dude who delivers is just so awesome, funny & polite. However, the food is even more fantastic. We are a 2 toddlers 2 adults household & every time everyone enjoys. I've lied for years about "my" creamed spinach my husbands family loves. Not me! The pit stop. 🙂
