New leadership is great, but one ref per game doesn’t cut it. Our guy kept making bad calls last night and nobody to defend the players

Edit: 8/8/24 - Playoffs tonight and we went almost the entire game without a 2nd ref. Someone finally showed up after the 7:45p game let out since we our game ran long. Doesn’t make up for the countless strikes the ref called on bounced pitches that should have been balls. And this is after management specifically spoke to me about this review. I get it’s a social environment, but why am I paying $300 a year if there’s no structure?

Attended outdoor volleyball and was impressed. 4 sand courts, nice restrooms, a fully stocked bar, great staff, and ample parking. Diverse patronage. Fun time for all!

The social volleyball league is fun, however for the $90 it would be nice if we had some officials to actually officiate the games. Lots of substitutes will play for free all season. At least check the rosters for the playoffs. Other then that, it can still be a fun Sunday pastime.

Whether you like to play sand volleyball or just watch, this place is a lot of fun!! Staff is super friendly, restrooms are clean, and there’s a bar!! Dog friendly, but they must be leashed and supervised. BYOPG (bring your own poop bags)

Absolute joke of a "basketball league" not worth the insanely expensive fee to have a team. Also the refs that your fee goes to might as well not even be there.

From the several leagues I've participated in, OSSO is the worst excuse for a social sports league I've ever been a part of. In our flag football league, refs also play on teams that are in the league; players play for multiple teams; we've had only one ref in each of our games leading to tons of missed and bad calls; rule changes have been enacted in the middle of the season without any warning. In our basketball league, they changed the standings in the middle of the season from best record to highest points scored which makes zero sense. It's beyond disorganized and it's heavily internally influenced. I won't be spending my money on participating in any more OSSO leagues, and definitely won't be recommending them to anyone else in the future.

Volleyball teams REQUIRE 9 slots to be filled. Which leads to very little playing time per player, or if some of the players pay twice so they actually get to play more often, it's crazy expensive. $80 per slot
