We moved to Nogales in 2021 and started using Mediacom top-tier internet service, as I work from home and need reliable, fast internet. At best the internet was sporadic, frequently cutting in and out. We had multiple service calls, and internet would work well for about a month or so, then the drops would continue. This time we lost service on 9/23/2024 and a tech was dispatched on 9/25/24. He said it was a problem on their end and would have a repair crew dispatched to fix the problem, 2-3 days tops for resolution. On Tuesday 10/1/2024 after multiple calls, we were informed that a service crew was expected to complete the work order, no service crew arrived. To this date 10/4/2024 we still do not have internet.
Today we called and were directed to [email protected], they had no resolutions to our issue and said a 2nd email escalating our issue would be sent. I feel that we have been more than patient with this company, with no timely resolutions, so we cancelled our services with them. We are taking our business elsewhere, and do not recommend Mediacom for anything especially Internet, find an alternative because you will not get what you pay for here.

Internet went out on a Wednesday, repairman came out Thursday morning. Stated he couldn't fix it would have techs check box on Street. Techs came out on a Friday, stayed about thirty minutes never came back. Called Monday stated they would have a tech come out. 3pm no tech. Called again stated they would be there before 8pm. Never showed up. Still waiting.

Internet has not been working for the past 2 weeks, we’ve called multiple times and they always promise it’ll be fixed and NOTHING has been done. Paying all this money just for it to not work ?

Are you trying to decide what internet service to get in the area of Nogales or Rio Rico Az? Well don't even think of using this internet. You have drops thru the whole day. You want to use it for a work video call? yea... good luck with that. The latency with their internet is so inconsistent that it should be illegal. One second you are pinging 20ms and for the next 5 mins its at 999ms. They may tell you it's the time of the day, but it doesn't matter what time of day it is. The latency with their connection no matter if its 2 am (when most people are asleep) is still horrendous. When they can't fix something they put it on to maintenance but the issue is i guess poorly looked at from the none existent results. This internet is sooooooooooo inconsistent. This goes on with everyone I have talked to in the area of Nogales and Rio Rico. (Even worst in Rio Rico) Trust me the deals look good but the money you might be saving is not worth the headaches with this service. The good thing better options are coming out in this area which I would advice people to do some research on better options cause they do exist.

EDIT: After about a month and a half of testing, it seems like the internet is stable. capacity seems to be holding around 550mbps and I have not had any major latency problems for a while now. I will continue monitoring, but I would definitely recommending emailing the total care email that mediacom provided in their response if all else with customer support fails.

I want you all to know that this is my second attempt at trying to leave a review. previous attempt I could not because the internet acted up again.

Internet services are "below decent". We have had some ongoing issues with mediacoms internet services since 2012. I noticed that rain will worsen internet services. The main problems I am having right now with the internet services are inconsistent latency and upload suddenly dropping from 30mbps to 0.1mbps. when this happens, it becomes to browse the web.

I am sure that some of you would get it when I say that I never really though an ISP would eventually make me hate the place that I live in.

Anyway, I Eventually became exhausted of these internet problems and started calling mediacom anytime the issues came up. Last technician that did come said that they have checked the house thoroughly and that there is nothing more they can do but to leave it to maintenance.

Therefore, I will remove this review once internet services are able to provide great upload, great download, and low and consistently latency.

Entered our backyard without knocking or notifying us that someone would be coming to our house and entering our property. Totally inappropriate, luckily our dog was inside or he could’ve gotten out. Horrible service.

is to expensive, started with low charge and after went up to 300%, other companies offer with to much less , like centiry link or tmobile, not recommended

Update#7 Now with a little more information, whomever has cable, your price will keep going higher whenever the broadcasting services ask for a price spike. Since Mediacom has no control nor say so of the prices of cable. Now for internet, you HAVE to have a plan with them. If you don't, you will be yearly charged an extra 20 or 40 dollars. Thats the catch, now for they're services of the internet speed and so on. It is not consistent, let alone a good at it's part regardless of the area. BUT, Id advise you to check on your amount due, because every month they somehow wip out an extra pay for some reason. We have paid in full most of the time of 130. Now somehow our full amount have gone to 170 because of a "late payment". Which we shouldn't have in the first place. So I'd advise you to check your REAL amount, since they keep making that mistake, CONSTANTLY.
