The most arrogant person I ever met.
Mike Lane Well & Septic gave me a price to repair 8 feet of drain
line for 2500.00. He also pumped my tank and wanted the $450.00 check made out to him personally. A competitor did the repair work for 400.00. I wrote Mr. Lane a check for $450.00. The funds were not deducted from my account, the bank said no check for that amount was turned in. We determined I had grabbed an old account check by mistake ,so I called the company and told them what happened and asked that they notify me when the check was not paid and returned. Never had a call. He came to my house this morning being very rude and irate. Met him a few hours later and paid him cash, and I tried to explain again but his attitude suggested he was angry about the job he did not get. Again, rude and arrogant, and a few words were exchanged. He stepped too close to me in a threatening manner. Anyone who knows me is aware that I am not a liar or a thief and I pay my bills . I am 85 years old and will not take that disrespect from anyone.

WARNING! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE!!! DONT HIRE!!!! Had them come out to give me an estimate on a new system& within the first 2 minutes they were here, they're ripping the roof off my pump house, knocking the bricks down as he's telling me it's gonna cost $2800!!! Immediately I was upset and confused as to why they were tearing my pump house apart & as I tried to explain that I just wanted an estimate (I explained that to Mike on the phone before they got here)and that they were the first company that I had called so obviously I'm gonna get a few quotes, the owner Mike and his grandson got rude and jumped into their truck ans left!!!

Let me start by saying I'm not a review guy and would only leave one if it was warranted. So today I called Lane to get schedule a well and septic inspection for a client purchasing a house where this company covers. After telling me on the first call he could do It for a very high price I follow up on an additional call to ask some questions about the inspection. He tells me "actually we're busy next week" and literally hangs up on me. For some reason he was asking me questions about my clients loan when no one is requiring the inspection, we just want it to know for ourselves. I thought that was weird and sketchy, almost didn't seem like a legit service. A question he got upset with was me asking when the report can get back to us post inspection. I call back to see if he was just having a bad day and get the same treatment. Hung up, rude, honestly the most absurd conversation I've ever had with a "professional". I hope Lane has a better day than today cause that was insane, thanks!

Mr. Lane came out within an hour of receiving my call. He was very professional and explained the whole process to me. He was able to replace the pump quickly. I would definitely call them for any issues in the future and I can't recommend them enough!

Five-star service. Cassidy Lane was polite, professional, and very helpful. I am a real estate agent and he came to a property we are under contract on. Let us know exactly what needed to be done. Will continue to use this company. Thank you again.

I found your reply interesting. YOU never called me to offer a partial refund. The call I did get was from Someone who called himself Doug. He said he was calling on your behalf ( which I found odd since you are able to talk and have a phone). He stated you would give me $1500 back of the $3500 charges the second time you were at my house ( 1 year, 3weeks after the first time I called you). When I told him that you had lied about the Act of God statement AND the warranty time frame, he stated you’d file charges against me. After he hung up I spoke to my sprinkler guy. He told me to call you or Doug back to discuss it. I hit redial on my home phone. For some reason Doug called from a “ private “ number and can’t be reached with a return dial. I called you and you didn’t answer. No point in leaving another voicemail as you hadn’t responded to my other ones or my text on sending a written receipt or the warranty from both visits. Or my ones on coming back out to fix the lawn damage you did.
I had even told Doug about the 3 way conversations I had had the after you left after the second pump was put in. It was me, my sprinkler guy and two different pump companies. The one woman couldn’t believe how much I paid the first time. She stated it should have been around $3000-3500. She stated warranties from the manufacturer on pumps are always 2 years. So I should have been charged only for labor the second time. She stated that should have been $700-1000. I asked if their company would be willing to state this in court. She said not anymore as they have been witnesses against you for the same thing- twice. And they don’t want to waste their time and not be working a third time. We heard basically the same thing from the second pump company he called. THAT was when I drove to the bank to find out you already cashed the check the afternoon before.
Both companies said anyone could have come out to replace the first pump if I had the original WRITTEN receipt AND the warranty. You did not give me one either time. You stated you’d send them to me. You never did. And when I’d call and ask again, still never received them. I would not have called in the beginning except my neighbor had stated you were the one who installed it in 2010. My experience up to now have been professionals hired you usually go back to , to fix something. I would urge anyone reading this to go on line and type in what are the average costs in your area to see what the going rates are before calling anyone. I would also advise checking ALL review sites before calling. And if you belong to a church or social group ASK about who they use. When I brought my issue up in my church several people had used this man. We all had 1hp pumps and pretty similar feet of pipe put in. There was a $4000 difference between what we all paid this man.

I Bought my place 12/21. December 2022, called Mike Lane who put the original pump on the property in 2010. Pump quit working and I had no water use for almost 36 hours.
Mike comes out and states I need a new pump and it will be $6250. I question this as it sounded high. HE states he has been in business for decades and this IS the going rate. Being new to the area-I trusted him and he put the pump in. When I asked for an invoice and warranty he stated he didn’t have them but will mail them to me. He never did-even after I called.
No water again 1/24. I call him back as he had said there was a 2 year manufacturer warranty on the pump. He comes out again and states this was a power surge and that is an Act of God (look up Acts of God-NO power surges on the list anywhere). He also said his warranty is only one year. (Never did send me the original warranty or invoice).
I had the electrical redone 6/23 so new breaker box and breakers that work properly. Contractor came back out and stated there was no power surge. Contractor also stated Mike didn’t even bother grounding this second pump.
Mike put in the second pump and charged me $3500. (Stated he was giving me a break). I spoke with my sprinkler guy and he spoke to Mike. Mike couldn’t tell him where he is getting his pumps from. Just stated “here and there”. Again no warranty or invoice when he was done and he tore up my lawn with his truck and never came back to fix it. Sprinkler guy calls other pump people and we have 3 way calls. They all say I have now been ripped off twice. I should stop payment on the check. I run to the bank and he had run in and cashed the check ASAP. The bank says they couldn’t help. I have called him about the invoices and warranties and he has not sent anything OR come to fix the lawn.
Two other pump companies have advised me I was overcharged by $5500 on both visits. You decide if you want to use him.
I brought this up in the church I attend in Cottageville. Several people had used Mike. All had had 1 hp pumps put in. NO one paid the same amount. Mike doesn't use ethical/fair pricing. He apparently determines what he is going to charge you by where you live, what you own, and what you drive. So buyer beware. Make sure you check ALL the reviews on him on other sites. I sure wish I had. He doesn't even honor the warranties he tells you come with the pump!
