Worst place in beckley to try and get an inspection sticker. They will ALWAYS find something wrong and try to upsell you, every other shop in beckley will be easier. Took my car to a shop down the road who did the same thorough inspection and found nothing wrong, and i got my sticker much faster.

I was passing through West Virginia en route to visit family when I caught a flat tire Thursday afternoon. The first business I tried was out of stock for my particular size and the second business I contacted had 1 technician handling all their operations and required an appointment the next day.

Fortunately, I called Goodyear and was pleasantly greeted by Mr. Nate Williamson who not only assured me that my exact tire model was in stock but he also promised to get me back on the road immediately.

Once I arrived, Mr. Williamson already had my Cooperstown 205/55R16 waiting. His sales advisor Mr. Reid aka Too Tall Utah had my tire swapped out and ready to roll (forgive the dad joke) before the devil had a chance to rain on my parade.

I know working in a service field can sometimes be daunting and frustrating, but if nobody else has expressed to this team, I’m happy to tell them, Thank you for what you do!!

Very Dangerous Experience
My car started to make a very loud humming noise, so I called and made an appointment. I was there for two hours, before they said that all my wheelbearings were in good shape, that the problem was my brakes and roters were worn-out. I paid $700+ to have them replaced, but as soon as I pulled out on the road I could still hear the humming noise, but now it was making a new noise, a terrible metal to metal thumping noise. I called, they said that they were ready to close to bring it back the next day. Well I couldn't make it back in for three days, because I had to work. They took it for a test drive and flat out said that I was lying about the noise, that they couldn't hear it. I got mad and left. I pulled into the next garage that I came to and asked if they could look at it. Literally within three minutes, while standing in the parking lot, the mechanic looked down and pointed out that the caliber bolts were missing. While he was putting the bolts in he said that I was very lucky that it hadn't caused me to wreck. After they had a chance to look it over, they said that the actual problem was both back wheelbearings needed to be replaced. That was another $700+ but finally my car is fixed.
The so called "mechanic" at Goodyear denied that he did anything wrong. I called his manager several times and and left several messages, but I have yet to hear from anyone.

I asked to mount and balance four tires I purchased elsewhere and to align the 2004 half ton pickup they put the tires on. After bout an hr and change I am told the alignment can't be done due to bas bearing they said was passenger side, later found out it was actually drivers side. So they say they can't do the alignment till the hub bearing is replaced which I understand. This is where it gets fun because to mount and balance four tires and determine a the aforementioned info they charge me approx $150, was actually a little more. Not a big problem because they did it fairly quickly with minimal hassle. When I go to get in the truck I see the two tires on the drivers side are backward(V tread sno tires Def directional), so I check the other side which are correct. They apologize a lot, but again no biggie cause they are doing it when I needed it done albeit at inflated rate. So they take two tires and rebalanced and remount them in the proper direction and 20 min later I'm cruising down the highway again. I think the price was too much for what they actually did, mount and balance four tires. Also if I hadn't noticed I would have ended up more than likely destroying two brand new sno tires. Summary, good mechanics that ate overworked and probably underpaid all while the company charges way more than reasonable. However I would go back because they were very polite and at the end of the day got things correct.

We received above-and-beyond service from Mr. Dakota Jones and his team at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company at 1102 North Eisenhower Drive, Beckley, WV. I have never left a Google review before but Mr. Jones and his incredible service makes leaving a review the least we could do!

Our car started experiencing trouble on the highway at 5pm EST--one hour before Goodyear closed on Saturday. We pulled in at around 5:15pm and even though it was near closing time, Dakota Jones greeted us with a friendly manner and told us not to worry--that he and his team would help identify the root cause of the car trouble. His team quickly drove our car into the shop and immediately began troubleshooting; they efficiently identified the culprit: a broken tire belt. At this point, they could've taken advantage and told us we needed to purchase all four new tires, but Mr. Jones and his team said that it wasn't necessary--that we only needed to purchase one new tire, and he had one that was an exact match for our car at a reasonable price.

The entire time, Mr. Jones assured us that we were in good hands and offered us cold water, coffee, and hot chocolate during our wait. The entire process only took 45 minutes--from walking in to paying and leaving--and we were blown away by the high quality service that Mr. Jones and his team provided.

HIGHLY recommend this Goodyear shop for anyone in the area or driving by.

The only thing that could've improved our experience--and this is entirely out of the hands of Mr. Dakota Jones and his team--would be if Goodyear HQ fixed the A/C unit in the service area's main office--it looks like the team has to sit in sweltering heat most of the day and other customers might not take well to waiting in a hot area.

Best shop anyone could ask for. I cut a tire over 1000 miles from home on a Saturday night at 5pm. These boys got me in and replaced my tire before they closed so I could get my family home safely. They even found and plugged another puncture in another tire so my family was safe on the highways. If ever in west Virginia and need a tire this is the place. Thanks again gentlemen
