Magnificent!

My husband and I came to Dale to visit the birthplace of Florence Henderson. We saw the stone in town, but were looking for more. Lincoln Heritage Public Library to the rescue!

Let me start by saying that we purposely visit libraries to see the difference in libraries we have been to. I can honestly say that this library is on point! I mean, every last bit of it! We are from a town south of Pittsburgh and have never seen a library like this! Fun around every corner! Whoever is in charge of the library knows what to they are doing!

The first thing I noticed was the amazing themed end caps such as summer. Summer themed books sitting with jump ropes and sidewalk chalk. Such a fun idea that gets the kids excited to read!

Next up was The Maker’s Station. If you live in the area and can utilize all they offer here, you are a lucky person!

Next, The Library of Things. A huge area of items that can be borrowed. From activity backpacks to a camping tent and dumbbells. So many cool items!

The Children’s area blew us away! Large with very well marked shelves and themed holiday and other shelves. I could spend hours in here!

The Indiana Room was really where it was all at. I came looking for Florence Henderson and I found her! Lots of autographs and such. I also saw my first in person Emmy that was donated to Dale by native, Dan Brumett, Director of The Young and the Restless. What an amazing piece to have displayed! Lots of Abraham Lincoln items of course. Indiana authors…it went on forever and was a great area!

Computer areas, photo printing…it just went on and on!

Outside, a story trail for the kids 📚
