Outstanding agency! Bev and Hannah guided our family through the entire process. They provided professional pictures in the listing as well as a detailed description of the house and property. We hired Bev to sell our house in Lakeside. We wanted a realtor who is professional, a competent communicator, and someone who will function as our advocate. Unfortunately, we did not get anything we wanted. Bev was able to sell the house but fell short in many ways.
The first time we saw a red flag is when our house went under contract shortly after we initially listed it, but what we did not know, was the earnest money was never received. For 10 days we were led to believe the sale of our home was pending! Bev and the title company chose to intentionally withhold this information from us.
In a separate incident we were working with Bev and her partner/daughter Hannah on reducing the listing price on a certain date. Unfortunately for us, the price change went into effect a week earlier than we requested due to pure sloppiness and lack of attention to detail on their end. There were no apologies or attempts to correct the mistake, only excuses.
When we accepted a second offer, we told Bev we did not want the home listed as pending until the earnest money was received by the title company. We did not want the same mistake that took place the first time we were under contract to happen again. In pure Bev form, she did not listen to us and listed the home as pending right away, days before the earnest money was received.
In our experience, there was a profound lack of communication that continued throughout our entire dysfunctional relationship with Bev. There was also a lot of resistance from her when she was managing basic tasks that a realtor is responsible for. For example, it took a heated discussion before she reluctantly agreed to be present at the appraisal with comps and a list of upgrades done to the home. There were numerous passive aggressive comments made on her part about Phoenix and its residents, this is however typical for the Mountain community. Eventually when the property sold, she concluded our painful time together with a confetti filled text message stating “Congratulations! The property has officially recorded.” There were no calls or any further communication from her as soon as she got her commission.
Honestly, we could go on and on regarding the mistakes, mishaps, and missteps taken by Bev during our contractual relationship, but hopefully we have made our point. If you are really looking for the “Best,” I strongly advise you to avoid working with the Worst!
