First, it should be known I had been trying to get them to fufill at least one of my needs for services since last year around July. Their solution was always to switch me to another provider, rather than addressing my needs. They title themselves as a level 2 care facility but I have visited those type of offices in the past (level 2 care) and this one is FAR from it. Majority of the providers are either students without experience trying to fufill their hours, or student interns. They don't always disclose that being the case. They even changed their name from College Community Services to Clarvida I'm efforts to deceive. There was not a single provider that I saw at this facility who ever gave me any proper care, resources, or input. They would always just offer resources from conducting a 5 second Google search but nothing extensive. There was a significant amount of unprofessionalism and they were extremely flaky. They were also terrible at communication and would cancel appointments the morning of; sometimes an hour or 2 before the appointment. The nurse on site it very unprofessional and would comment on issues he had with other providers. The psychiatrist is too outdated/old school. Oxana Kogout is the nurse practitioner there but she is probably the most qualified out of all the providers. I believe she only handles medication management. However she's very experienced in level 1 care patients treatment I can't say the same about more complex cases like mine. She is still very understanding and proactive in trying to listen to your needs as well as being very patient. I attempted to meet with my recovery coordinator on numerous occasions to voice these concerns as she was sort of the mediator, but even she did not recognize her part of services were very flawed. Araceli the medical assistant at the front at one point gave me pretty severe and serious misinformation. The supervisor Steven Valiente (or Valente not sure) also refused to meet with me in a proper appointment. I was told I could show up and wait around to see if he had time to speak with me. If you are under crisis PLEASE do NOT arrive here thinking they will assist you. It is actually disappointing and I'd venture to say absolutely disgusting, the lack of care they have for patients who show up in that state of mind. Rather than calling law enforcement, the crisis center in Bakersfield Mary K Shell, or even 988; they will turn you away by giving you an appointment card for a week later. Overall, the services I received were very dismissive, unprofessional, and honestly underqualified. It must be known I gave them way more than a handful of opportunities but it got worse and worse each visit. It is very disheartening as this is the only real facility of this nature (for adults) here in wasco who does take several forms of insurance, whether it be private or medi-cal. A lot of the time I was extremely uncomfortable. I struggle with severe suicidal ideation and if I hadn't learned to be stronger by my own free will, my small family, and resilience; I would've been gone long ago because of this type of care. Please DO NOT seek services here.

I have not had the best experience here, I'll be honest, but also I haven't had the worst. Some of the staff here is flaky, and other times are really hard to get ahold of. The are nice, don't get me wrong. In terms of the on site doctor, he is absolutely amazing at what he does, but with the therapists and counselors, some of them can be really hard to contact.

I have had to go through 2 different resource counselors because one would just talk ONLY about himself and wouldn't really help me on what I wanted to work on, or even needed help with. The second one always was so flaky that they wouldn't even respond to any of my calls or messages, or they just called a day AFTER our scheduled appointment.
Granted, after giving my second counselor another chance, they have seemingly improved, so it just really depends on who you get.

Most times the therapists can be helpful, they've helped me improve so much and even motivated me to do so much more than I used to do, but it's other times their words can be hurtful without intention, or they are generally just hard to contact.

Would I recommend this place? It really depends. I have been back and forth with CCS, I went to the children's facility as a kid, it really was the worst experience and got tossed like a hacky sack about my problems and invalidated, but although that being 2008, it probably has changed since then.

As for the adult therapy services, it's honestly a hit or a miss. Take in mind that these are trainees and not licensed professionals. They are gaining experience in this work field so they aren't perfect, but they are learning as they go.

Overall, I would give it a chance, but if it isn't your forte, or you feel you require better services, just go somewhere else if you feel the need. However, if you are experiencing discomfort or any issues you find may violate services or they aren't helping at all, please contact the supervisor, that way the staff can redirect you to someone new. Remember that this helps them with their employees improve, so feedback is important in this facility.

Hopefully this review helps anyone with questions they may have or did have, seeing as there are little to no reviews.
