We had the incredible opportunity to partner with Russ and his team from Columbus Aeronautics to provide a tethered hot air balloon experience at our recent festival, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the very beginning, Russ and his team showcased professionalism and expertise that made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable.

The hot air balloon itself was a stunning visual attraction that drew in festival-goers of all ages. With its vibrant colors and impressive height, it became the centerpiece of the festival, creating a sense of excitement and wonder. Guests loved the chance to ascend in the balloon for breathtaking views of the festival grounds and the surrounding area, all while feeling completely safe and secure thanks to the expert handling by the Columbus Aeronautics team.

Safety was clearly a priority for Russ and his crew. They provided clear instructions and made sure all guests felt comfortable and at ease during their experience. The atmosphere was filled with joy as families and friends enjoyed this unique activity together, creating lasting memories.

Russ was an amazing communicator through this process. It took us a while to get up in the air with him, but it was worth it. He communicated every date scheduled/canceled and was prompt to reschedule. When we finally got the chance to meet and fly, him and his crew were so fun. My husband and I loved getting a chance to see the set up, flight and take down of the balloon. The views were amazing and the knowledge that these men have is extensive. I would recommend this experience/crew again and again.

Scheduled this almost a year ago for my mom's 79th birthday, but due to a family emergency, Russ was very accommodating and easy to work with getting the perfect day to fly! We had a wonderful experience all around with Russ, the pilot, and his land crew. We learned about the history of flying hot air balloons and each of the crew were very knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions. Definitely would recommend Columbus Aeronauts for a fantastic flying experience!!

Wow! What an experience with Russ and his team at Columbus Aeronauts! Safety and education are top priorities with Russ. One thing we didn’t expect, but was thrilled about, was being involved with the entire trip. We assisted with inflating the balloon to packing the balloon away. They make the ride “your ride.”

We took a breathtaking sunrise balloon ride floating above the beautiful autumn colors between Powell and Delaware. This was a once in a lifetime experience never to be forgotten.

I can’t say enough about Russ and his team. They are very personable and professional. I highly recommend Columbus Aeronauts for an amazing experience. Thank you Russ, Scott and Jayden.

Me and the family took an amazing journey with Russ and his team earlier this month for my birthday extravaganza. It was perfect. The weather worked out great and we were able to get right on in there. Russ stayed in contact with us to let us know the weather outlook and probability of us being able to go up. That gave us a piece of mind knowing that it was for sure before making the 1 & a 1/2 hour drive. Russ and the ground team worked great together. They were knowledgeable and informative through out the whole experience, cared deeply about our safety, took awesome pictures of the trip and us as a family and then sent those to us later that same day. Also when it was all said and done recommended a nice breakfast stop that was just what we were looking for. The balloon was Giant, biggest birthday balloon I've ever gotten. Just to stand there and watch them set it up was a thrilling experience. The kids even got to help and be apart of the process. The sunrise was beautiful and the fog that set on top of the valley was like icing on a cake "sweet and gone before you know it". We saw so much and went for miles. It was surprisingly quiet and just a peaceful drift. The torch blow did take a minute to get used to. Landing was as professional as it gets with barely a little bump on the ground. The trip, (yes) was rather expensive but the experience and memories made will last a lifetime for us and the kids. So if your hesitant on the price, just know it's a fair price and they will take good care of you. I would definitely recommend to anyone who may be considering this trip, that you and your loved ones just go and get you some memories made. You won't be disappointed.
