I was THOROUGHLY impressed with this restaurant. The food was on point. If I had one suggestion, it is to add some cheese to the Mac and cheese. It wasn’t as cheesy as I like it but the chicken…stop playin’! Forget Kentucky Fried and get to Cornbread! That chicken was all that! Also, the first thing I look at is how clean everything is inside and outside. There was no evidence of laziness in this place. It was spotless! To me, that always makes the food taste better. Lol. I don’t usually give 5 stars for everything but I had to with this place. I was with a full bus load (60 people) and we were in and out of there and totally full and satisfied in an hour and a half. Thank you Cornbread, you did good! The staff and manager was on point. They were Exceptionally
hospitable. The Manager stopped and thanked us for coming…classy!

We came at a busy time before an event. The staff were overall friendly and working hard but struggling to keep up. I don’t fault them for that. The chicken itself wasn’t my favorite. I would’ve loved if the batter had more spice. It was just a bit plain. Same with the Mac and cheese, not bad but not anything special. The corn bread was very good and very moist.

To be honest I wasn't expecting the place to be as clean as it was( good job). 2 people in front of me ordering and it took 13 minutes just to place my order. As I waited for the food to be prepared I wanted to get my ice tea ( disappointed No Tea) 6:07 was time we got our meal. So you can expect to wait. It's worth the wait because its fresh and hot but not too greasy. You will have greasy on your hands but not like the chicken was sitting under the warmer in grease. The mac and cheese was good had a different seasoning on it not sure what but it was good. The sweet potatoes were in a butter brown sugar mix and that was like eating pie without the crust. Cornbread was moist and delicious, I wanted a little butter on it but No butter. Prices to me were on the higher side but not crazy.

Great Experience! We brought a Bus of 50 people from Harrisburg Pennsylvania and everything was Great from start to finish! Delicious Food! Great service! We enjoyed the total Experience and I'll definitely be back! Would have loved to have been able to purchase some Merch (t-shirts?) Also people wanted to leave tips on their credit cards? But we did round up some cash. Staff was amazing!

I love the recent renovations. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I felt right at home upon entering. (Part 2) One week later after, I enjoyed another great meal. Tonight I met more of the staff. They were friendly and inviting. Another great time! I love how the place is laid out and it so clean and orderly. I will be visiting on a regular basis.

We Drove an hour to try this spot out! & I’m glad we did.
The cleanliness of the space 10/10.

Greeted by Jenell , she was the sweetest and most patient , especially for first timers. She is who restaurant industries need! Someone who greets, listens, & cares about the guest or customers.

The food was flavorful! From the cabbage to the collard greens. To the fish and yams! Absolutely no complaints. Found my favorite soul food spot so far!

Excellent staff and service for sure. One of the best cornbread ever. Chicken was juicy and the skin crispy. Collared greens were good, and one of the best Mac and cheese I've had. Not a big fan of potato salad in general, and the ribs were kind of hard and dry but the sauce was good. Very clean tables and floors (not sticky or greasy).

First time in jersey my friends decided to eat at a black owned business last night, the places was clean & service was quick. The two lady’s at the front were both amazing. I got sides I enjoyed the rice & greens, the macaroni & cheese was ohk. My friends all enjoyed there food. Even got a cup of ice for free
