I’d never interacted with such a dysfunctional company until Frontier. If you value your sanity avoid them at all costs.

I was quoted $30 a month for basic internet if I signed up for autopay. This took over an hour of texts/calls because the website wouldn’t let me sign up online.

The installation technician was supposed to come between 1 and 5 pm. He said he’d arrive at 5, but showed up at 5:45. Once he arrived, he was unsure of himself and asked me how to install the fiber line. I told him, “You’re the technician. I’m the homeowner. I don’t know how to install this.” He eventually left the router with me, told me to call Frontier to schedule another tech, and left.

I called Frontier the next day. After 45 min on the phone, the customer service rep (nice guy) apologized, claimed the next tech could offer me $10 off monthly because of the hassle, and scheduled the next tech. The rep said he couldn’t directly offer the discount but that the tech had the ability to offer the discount. I was suspicious if this discount (bringing basic internet to $20 monthly) would materialize, but I agreed.

The next tech came (nice guy). He said he couldn’t do the $10 monthly discount. Instead he offered two months of free service. I declined and called customer service to get the $10 discount again. This customer service rep wouldn’t honor the offer from the week before but instead offered a $100 visa gift card. I agreed to this. Then three minutes later, he reneged on the gift card offer and gave me a different customer service number. So I called that number and couldn’t get a human. I spent 37 minutes calling three different customer service numbers and then gave up.

The tech was still waiting at the house. I gave the router to him and said I wanted nothing to do with the company. He then offered me three months of service for free but still couldn’t do $10 off. I said no thank you so he left.

45 minutes later, Frontier called again offering the $10 discount they had refused to honor twice earlier that day. I decliined.

I've paid for the service, severed my connection with Xfinity... and now I have no internet due to "technical difficulties". It's been over a week and, working from home, I can't tell you how much damage this has done. The tech support is a horrible automated system and we are completely left in the dark. There is currently no contact or resolution in sight. This service is either a scam or they're simply to incompetent to resolve their own issues. I would recommend to anyone and everyone to avoid Frontier at all costs. Once I actually get the service I'm paying for, if I do, perhaps my perception of Frontier would change.

I thought switching from xfinity to fiber was going to be the move…. I was wrong I have had frequent outages. These outages last for 12 hours at a time. I am in an outage right now which has been longer the 24 hours and still going. I reach out to customer support and to I could pay for a new service that is an additional 25 dollars a month that prevents outages with 4g. So you mean to tell me I pay for a 2gig package and because yall can’t keep my internet on I have to pay an additional 25 dollars for outage protection…. Make it make sense. Highly do not recommend.

Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. Everything is automated and it took them over a month to do an install. They initially asked us to contact the previous tenant, because the service was still in their name. The guy died and they kept insisting we call the previous owner.

I switched from XFinity because some young kids were walking my neighborhood and I always try to support young people hustling, but this was a nightmare. It took them over a month to install, none of the technicians were helpful. The original guy that setup my service, boasted about how he would be there all along the way from cradle to grave. They screwed me too, because we were moving into a house we bought and one of us teleworked. I would not recommend this company just alone for the horrible customer service.

Installer never showed up at my house and when I called, they claim that I canceled my appointment I stayed home all day because of the large window that they gave me. What a waste of time. I don't know what their actual internet services like when you get it, so I can't comment on that, but I can say that they don't keep up with their commitments, or at least have the courtesy to let you know.

Now, looking through all the other comments on here, I can see that I'm not the outlier. Looks like it's a trending thing. I assume that Frontier is not physically out here, they work by contractors. If so, they need to look at a change before they lose all their business.

Do not use them if you do not have to. My Internet went out on a Tuesday, they said they would send somebody between 8 to 12 Wednesday. When nobody showed up, I contacted them through chat three times and they kept telling me to wait and that someone would come before 7 PM. I then called at 4 PM and they told me my ticket had been canceled, they also claimed they text me and I didn’t respond which is why, which is 100% false because I literally waited by my phone the entire day.

They then rescheduled it for Friday (two days later), I called their sales department and account services dept and customer support to confirm that someone would definitely come out, I work from home and struggle greatly without Internet. It is now 12 PM and nobody has shown up, I don’t even know where to go from here, or when I’ll have Internet again since they said the next appointment was Monday and nobody shows up to my appointments.

Don’t use!

Frontier solicitors come to my door nonstop. Jeff and Rudy in Lompoc, CA were BEYOND rude, threatening to CONTINUE to come back to my house after I told them I wasn’t interested. I will NEVER sign up with Frontier simply because their door to door solicitors are so unbelievably RUDE, threatening, and relentless. Do better if you want business, Frontier.
