Unforgettable holiday in Morro Bay!

My family and I have been vacationing in the central coast for Thanksgiving week for over 15 years. We are used to quirky rentals. We’ve learned to bring a few items from home for our use and we’ve learned to not expect each of these vacation rentals to have everything. This year we learned to lower our expectations even further. After paying $725 a night and nearly $5k in total for a 5 night stay at a 4.91 “guest favorite” airbnb, we learned that we shouldn’t expect there to be plates, towels that have no holes or rips, and even dry sheets to be placed on the bed.

This unforgettable holiday has been an unfortunate one. We checked in and found out that we’d be sharing the rental with multiple colonies of ants and active ant posion. We discovered an unrun dishwasher. A dryer full of towels - unfortunately these towels also were ripped and holed.
My in laws went to bed to discover a wet bed. We couldn’t figure out why! We thought there must have been a leak from the ceiling, nope! After a handyman’s visit - we discovered the sheets had been put on the bed still wet. We used a hair dryer and an actual dryer to finish the job. You’re welcome!

The handyman, whom we thought could help us with the ants or other sinks which were all dealing with broken drain stops, kindly let us know - he was here for one purpose only- the wet bed. He would share our concerns with the company.
I was grateful for that especially because I felt that I was communicating into a void. The “manager” was unavailable to talk and the workers were doing what they could without them.

Well we’ve tried to leave this place better than we found it. The next tenants will find plates - purchased at a thrift store. Toilet paper - we didn’t receive. And of course a cleaner and hopefully ant free rental.
Sorry - all the towels will still be ripped and the pans broken, but there is only so much that can be accomplished on a family vacation during Thanksgiving.

As a measure of transparency let me add that I received a refund for half of one night of our stay - approximately $330- over the course of dealing with the helpful staff. The manager has still not responded to a single request for a conversation.

Love this hidden gem in Hanford! The house is beautiful, spotless, and equipped with everything you need in a quiet neighborhood minutes away from groceries, shopping, restaurants and an adorable downtown. The backyard is well-manicured and so peaceful. I used this space for a writing retreat and was so impressed with the all of the special touches this home includes. I scheduled a second stay before my first one ended!!! Thank you to the hosts for putting their heart into this home!

Guest Equity has excellent customer service and locations. The rental properties that they represent are spotless and well maintained. This small business has grown so quickly the last few years and that is because they do such a great job of representing their customers and advertising the properties professionally. They are also great people to interact with and when I stayed with my family in one of their properties I was able to connect with them quickly with questions and I got an immediate response. I cannot recommend Guest Equity enough!

What an awesome company! Guest Equity has some of the best listings you can find in the area and are great to work with on the business side. Since 2014 I have been renting through Airbnb and VRBO and over the span of that time (whether staying on my own or with friends/family) I have stayed in my fare share of short term rentals. That being said, the level of professionalism, attention to detail and dedication to customer service that I received when staying with Guest Equity has been unmatched! Stays at "The Baller Condo" in Pismo, "Herrera Hideaway" in Shaver & "Cargo Home North" in Tulare have been a few of our favorites 🙂 The teams ability to manage their properties with such efficiency was so impressive to me, that in 2018 I hired them to manage my own rental!!
Korrie and Adrian Herrera have proven to be amazing contacts to have when traveling as well as fantastic partners for management. Couldn't recommend more highly!!

Absolutely the best!!! I’ll always go through them for my next future Airbnb stays. The place we stayed at in Morrobay was beautiful, clean, and spacious! I felt very safe and I like that there was a park near by. Corrie was very good at communicating and responding quickly with any questions that I had.
