Stopped by Kessaku for a cocktail, and wow—what a spot. Sitting on top of the Thompson Hotel, it’s got some of the best views in Dallas. There’s a walkway that wraps around the entire top, so you can take in the city from every angle. Perfect for golden hour or just soaking in the skyline at night.

Didn’t stay for food this time, but the vibe was sleek and intimate, and the drink was great. Definitely one of those places that makes you want to come back for the full experience. If you’re looking for a gorgeous view with a solid cocktail in hand, this is the place.

Was so excited to try this spot but I was super disappointed by the service despite this being a pretty nice restaurant. We ended up waiting around 25 minutes just to get the check and during this time a line had formed of people waiting for tables and since there is no designated space for them to wait they end up standing along the wall leading to them just staring at your table.

The king crab roll was the standout like everyone mentions but we also tried the wagyu asparagus and were a little surprised when it was only 3 pieces of asparagus.

They also don't validate the valet parking at all which I thought was weird since other restaurants in the building do.

Kessaku is hands down one of the most exceptional dining experiences in Dallas. Perched high above the city, the restaurant offers a breathtaking 360-degree view that you can walk around and take in from every angle—whether you’re watching the sunset or admiring the city lights, the atmosphere is simply unmatched. Bar or restaurant seating available!

The cocktails here are a true highlight—light, expertly crafted, and each with its own unique twist. They perfectly complement the sushi, which is on another level. The menu is intentionally limited, but that’s because every dish is meticulously curated and executed to perfection. Every piece of sushi is fresh, flavorful, and elegantly presented, making it clear that Kessaku prioritizes quality over quantity.

The service is just as outstanding as the food. Alexis, Catie, Justin, and Bri are my favorites, always making the experience even more special, but the entire team is incredible. They are warm, accommodating, and happy to cater to any special requests, ensuring that every visit feels like a truly personalized experience.

If you’re looking for a luxurious yet intimate sushi spot with impeccable service, a phenomenal view, and unforgettable flavors, Kessaku is the place to be. Absolutely worth every visit!

10/10 experience and why is that? First and foremost ALEXIS our server made the entire experience phenomenal! The menu may be small but I can attest we ordered almost everything and each dish was delicious! Drinks were also not only creative but really good! We went for my cousin’s birthday and Alexis’s vibe totally set the tone of our night. I highly recommend you go and I also highly recommend you ask for Alexis!

The drinks were TOP NOTCH and although the servings were small, high quality flavorful sushi!

If you are visiting Dallas, this is the place to go! Highest restaurant in the city with 360 walkthrough around the whole building.

Eris was an amazing waitress!

50 floors high with some great views of south side of Dallas from their observation deck.

The food was okay, nothing special about it. We ordered the tower and I feel only half of it was good, the rest was just ordinary sushi. Food menu is pretty small, with an extensive drinks menu. I'm not a drinker but from the menu it seemed like you had plenty to choose from.

Good atmosphere, specially after sunset. The place was packed on a Friday night!

Went to sit at the bar last night for a drink, and did not get acknowledged for like 5 minutes while there were three bartenders just standing around talking, then the woman bartender with all the tattoos dropped two menus in front of us and continued doing whatever it was she was doing, still have not been greeted or anything at this point. After we look over the menu a server comes and starts engaging with the bartenders who still have yet to acknowledge my friend and I and continue speaking with all other staff and customers as if we are invisible. After some more time went by. We had to request for someone to take our order which was literally the only time a bartender spoke to us the only time we were there. We had to ask a server to get our tab who also seemed to be irritated, while all the other bartenders stood around. I’m not sure what the reason was for the poor service this past evening but I’m very disappointed as I come to Kessaku regularly and have always had a great experience.

I came here for my friends birthday and we had a wonderful time and the food is really good! I’ve actually never had real sushi before so it was new but I will never go back to what I’ve had in the past. Our waiter was sweet and the view was amazing! Very intimate setting and I would love to return later in the evening next time!

That said there’s a lot that could be done to improve, for starters the place is a little cramped which is not a problem, what is a problem is that there no space for purses or any other personal items not on your person. For a fine dining establishment, as they advertise, to not have purse racks is a first to me. That being said I would have not minded placing it on the railing or floor however it was very dirty. Sticky rails and floors and when we were walking around to see the view we had to use hand sanitizer many times due to touching random sticky spots. As well for the website to say we want you to look your best but the staff is wearing nightclub clothes, is confusing as my friend and I were going to a rave after and could’ve just worn what we were going to wear there here.

All in all I would return, knowing what to expect I’ll be able to come more prepared and enjoy myself more!
