Can across the website and wanted to try this place. The atmosphere was nice. After being seated my energy began to change. The server said she would need to open a tab and a $25 hold on my credit card. Which was strange to me, I’ve never experienced this. I made a comment about it, and she said that I could just pay up front. So , that I did. I ordered with something simple, fried catfish with red beans and rice. My wife got shrimp and pasta. The food came out and looked great. Wasn’t impressed on the portion, compared to the price. Presentation was nice, taste was not impressive. The waitress asked if I wanted hot sauce, which I declined. I like to taste the food, for which it is.
Overall The night was two thumbs down. And yeah, they add a 20% gratuity and a service fee to your bill. I know a lot of restaurants charge that for large parties. It was only my wife and I.
Don’t think I’ll patronize them again.

We spent our Valentine’s Day here. Unfortunately, we had to wait a good ten minutes to be seated in an half EMPTY restaurant. Once we finally got ready to be seated the host tried to sit us at a table right next to another couple elbow distance away when there was plenty of other empty tables.

Also upon getting greeted, our server told us they require a $25 hold on a credit card ok that’s fine. She got our waters and appetizer but not once refilled them until we asked half way into our meals!

We ordered the French toast breakfast, salmon pasta, oysters &. A drink . The bill was $99 , I thought that was a little high but still tipped $10. I asked for the receipt and noticed the restaurant automatically included gratuity. $14! So I told the host that claimed she was the manager that they should tell customers this along with the $25 hold they told us about from the beginning. She insisted it’s “on the website” like that makes it okay. I wouldn’t suggest coming here for the horrible customer service!

Great food and bubbly atmosphere. A little loud but it's Friday night in city. 😎

Really loved the catfish and fries, friends tried a variety of dishes. They will add 20% gratuity to parties so be aware of that and parking in the covered lot does close, so don't plan on parking later as my friend got towed unfortunately.

Ashlyn was a great server. The crawfish bread was great. The red beans and dirty rice plate was just ok. Kind of bland. We will still come back for brunch to try more food.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but... Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience when I visited. I was here roughly 45 mins before our reservation, waited an hour in line for valet. Once inside, we ordered $5 margs, which was a very small cup full of ice, and little alcohol. Food wasn't the best either. Ordered a regular burger... It was very dry and horrible. It was replaced with the Monica pasta w/chicken... That was decent. The only positive thing about the night was our waitress Maya. It was her first night, and she did an excellent job 🙂. I hate that all the rest was poor. We most likely won't be returning...🙁.

Tap and Table in Dallas is a brunch lover's dream! I had the mimosa tower and the salmon bowl, which was fresh and full of flavor. Our server, Blair, was amazing—friendly, attentive, and made sure all of our wants and accommodations were met. Such a great spot with awesome service and delicious food. Highly recommend!

First time here. We walked right in and was seated. Atmosphere was nice. Football on the TV's. We got to watch Texas play. We ordered charbroiled oysters as appetizers. Our oysters came out before we even received our drinks. Waitress was moving slow. The oysters were really good. Must try. Then we ordered. Salmon,shrimp with dirty rice and the Grilled Catfish with red beans and rice. Everything came out hot and fresh. The waitress was not as attentive because they sat a party of 16-20 down in her area after us. We will be back to try more oysters. We will be back but will sit at the bar area.

We were in town from STL for the "MJB For My Fans" concert. We arrived just before 11 am. on Sunday for brunch, and we were seated immediately⭐️. We requested to be moved to another away from the door because it was so cold. There were literally only people seated at 4 other tables in the entire restaurant, but we were told they had to seat parties according to some seating chart😒. Okay, fine🫤. The waitress was amazing🥰!! She changed our focus from frustration 🥴to delightfulness😊. The mimosa tower with pineapple juice was amazing🥂. The food came out quickly ⭐️⭐️ was fresh ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and delicious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. With one exception... we ordered the honey hot wings and had to send them back. I was told (I don't eat chicken) that they weren't fresh and had no flavor😱 which was disappointing because they looked amazing 😫. We ordered the seafood omelet, salmon bowl, catfish/shrimp and grits, and the breakfast omelet😋. The music and food were the best part of our visit. If you're ever in the Dallas area, stop on in, you may or may not be disappointed 😝
