Stayed here for NCA with my daughter. Location was great, rooms are large and the men working the front door had to be hardest working people I’ve ever come across at a hotel. They held doors, gave directions, directed traffic, waved down Ubers, parked cars. I wish there was a little more light in the bedroom and they the shower had hotter water but I would definitely come back. Restaurant inside hotel is also great.

Beautiful historic building. Service and staff were great. Rooms were comfy and clean. Restaurant attached was amazing! Staff was helpful with recommendations. Walking distance to lots of eating places and The Majestic. Shower needs a full door it was cold.

I think this is my favorite Marriott property in downtown Dallas. (I have stayed at most of the hotels in this price range so that excludes places like the Adolphus.) The staff is great! Amenities are nice and the rooms are large and interesting. Bar and restaurant are very nice. It's an older building so it has some of the cool features of an old hotel yet is very nicely updated.

Middle of downtown so you are close to a lot of great activities, bars and restaurants.

The hotel, service, and rooms were all very nice. But, the most disappointing part of our experience was the breakfast that we purchased for the in-house Toussaints restaurant. You can only select the most basic items from the menu, which makes you feel like a third class citizen, and you can't even switch to another item in the menu that is equal to or lower than the value of the items you are allowed to select. I'd skip the breakfast in this hotel and save your money for another brunch place.

Rooms are decent, I've stayed at worse and better. You're paying for the location. I suggest the valet, as the parking garage is a scam for the price. I love the art deco style it's very 1920s

Avoid the restaurant. At all costs.

This is a great hotel in a nice location. I would recommend valeting your vehicle for better convenience.

The rooms are gorgeous, showers are big and open, and beds are comfortable (nothing beats home, though).

Start with the weird...

Why does the light in the bookcase have to be on in order for the nightstand light switches to work? Who was the electrician here? So I have to sleep with the bookcase light on? Or get out of bed to turn the light off anyway? That does not work for us. This is something that should be corrected.

End on a high note...

There is not another place I would rather stay! The staff has been so terrific and welcoming. They made my check in pleasant after a terrible travel day. And they went out of their way in being so nice and super available. Most appreciated, they don't forget you after you walk away like you are just a number or something. The team really does make you feel like you are their guest.

And the ambiance and vibe is my favorite of about anywhere I stay. From the decor to maintaining the vintage building, I enjoy staying here.

Renaissance Saint Elm Dallas was the worst Marriott hotel I have ever stayed in. It was a designated hotel for an event. Considering that it has 4 stars with mixed reviews, I reluctantly reserved a premium corner room for 3 nights. I am a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member. The room faced on both sides windows to adjacent buildings. It was dark and had no privacy. I complained and switched rooms the following night and moved to an adequate location on a higher floor. I purchased breakfast with my reservation. The restaurant was closed, and I was directed to a hotel store with chips and soda as my option. I complained again and the front desk gave me a pass to the concierge floor that had some recognizable breakfast food. The following day, I returned to my room at 5:00 pm and the hotel had not cleaned my room. I had to call the front desk for clean towels
