Anyone who's lived/visited Japan knows these style of sandwiches very well. Had a chance to speak with the chef and he was awesome. The the proprietary blend on the French fries were so tasty along with their house spicy ketchup and unique ranch. I'd recommend the Spicy Truffle Chicken Katsu and if it's still on the menu when you see this, the seasonal Smoked Ribeye Katsu. Come get a taste of Japan!

A little slice of Japan exists on Main Street across from the Big Eyeball. Tasty little Katsu-fried chicken sandos on milk bread are the order of the day. The curly fries were good. There’s a bar with some seating inside and several tables outside. You can enjoy your food while watching people get their photo op with the Big Eye in the background, which is kinda’ cool.

This place was awesome. It's definitely a little pop up with 7 or 8 chairs. I came here because I saw it on tik tok and wanted to try it. It was absolutely delicious. I hot the steak one.

The only thing I wish was that it was more aesthetical pleasing and that the sandwiches were cheaper. Mine was 18 but the cheapest was 10. A little more expensive than the average sandwich but it was super yummy and the staff was friendly.

I first came across Sandoitchi a couple years ago when they did a pop up at Goldee’s BBQ in Fort Worth. So today as we drove through Dallas we remembered they had a brick and mortar in Downtown Dallas. We stopped in and had three sandwiches, some Kobe steak chips, and two Yuzu Arnold Palmers. Everything was great! I wish the food cost as much as this food costs in Japan (300 yen a sandwich, which is like $3 USD), but hey, whaddya gonna do? This ain’t Tokyo BRUV! This is Dallas. Still the food was very tasty. I loved everything we had! Oh and it’s across from THE EYEBALL. That’s cool!

I currently feel disgusted. I had ordered lunch from this place earlier and also ordered a strawberry sandwich for later. Only to discover what looks like mold on the bottom or the crust of my strawberry sandwich. I feel disgusted because I do not know if it was on the sandwich I consumed earlier. This is the first time I will ever give one star. It's well deserved. I can't confirm with the place either. What that white substance is since they close early.

Overall this was 5/10. In my opinion they are extremely overcharging for this but thats coming from someone that went to Japan for the same thing and it costs $6 per sandwich.

I got the egg salad sandwich. It taste exactly like you’d think it would. Kind of bland favored egg but the yolk was cooked perfectly. I had to add some salt and sauce to get any kind of taste. Overall it was 6/10. Simply because it’s just egg in a sandwich.

Second sandwich I got was the “spicy chicken sando”
The crunch was there and it was tender but the mustard or sauce was not a good pick.
Maybe it was the salad mix that was in the sandwich but something made it bitter and it was not spicy.
If it was actually spicy then this sandwich would be amazing. Overall a 6.3/10

Not pictured was the disgusting horchata late! Absolutely nasty and that gets a 1/10

I did try the sweet potato crisps and that was the perfect amount of crisp with the right amount of salt topping. This gets a 8.5/10

Not bad for a first time visit but I would not recommend a second time visit. As you know parking in Dallas is the worst and the prices need to be realistically adjusted or dropped.

Really annoyed! I had the biggest taste for this sandwich today! I asked for NO CABBAGE, why Because it MAKES MY LIPS SWELL UP! Guess what I got?

So I just paid to get this $19 sandwich with xtra pay for cheese and I can’t eat it! It was paid delivery btw plus tip!

No, I can’t pull it off because I’m allergic! Driving there after paying for delivery is INSANE!

No phone number to call btw

Hot Sandwiches, Creative Chips, and an Eyeball View Worth a Quick Splurge

If you’ve ever craved a touch of Tokyo in Dallas, Sandoitchi might just be your ticket—well, if you’re willing to pay a premium for it. Nestled in Downtown, right across from the city’s iconic giant eyeball sculpture, this spot serves up some solid hot sandwiches (“oishii” for sure) that almost transport you to Japan… until the bill comes.

The sandwiches are genuinely tasty, and the Asian chips on the side add a creative twist—flavors that are as unpredictable as they are fun. It’s like getting a little surprise with your sando. As for the drinks, they’re as pricey as they are Instagrammable—just the sort of indulgence that pairs well with a giant eyeball glaring at you.

Speaking of indulgence, the wagyu and lobster sandos are here for those with adventurous hearts and deep pockets. Expect to spend nearly $100 if you’re going all in. More realistically, you’re looking at $25 for a sandwich, chips, and a drink—enough to make you think twice about making this a regular habit.

It’s a fun experience if you’re missing Japan or just curious, but not the place for a daily fix unless you’re feeling particularly generous with your yen—uh, dollars. For one-time nostalgia or a quirky lunch across from Dallas’ most judgmental sculpture, Sandoitchi delivers. Otherwise, your wallet might thank you for finding other nearby options.
