Last Friday night I took my wife here on a date. It's an old fire station built in 1919 that is now a bar, restaurant, and upstairs live music venue.

It was just $10 each for the live music, which I prepaid on their website. We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff the moment we walked through the front door. They directed us upstairs to an uncrowded room with exposed brick walls and historic beams. Then we were treated to several hours of a 4-piece jazz band that plays there in a regular rotation with a few other bands.

They were called "New Vintage Jazz," and they specialize in the hard bop jazz era of the 1940's & '50's. There was a guy on drums, a keyboardist who featured a good bit of jazz organ and sang some vocals, a musician playing the double bass and electric bass, and one on brass who alternated between trumpet and flugelhorn.

My wife had a sampler plate of 4 mini-burgers, and I tried the Creole fried chicken. Then we had a hot chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. The food was all delicious and tasted like it was made from scratch.

We had a few cocktails which were well made, as well as an on-tap beer which was cold and the perfect pairing with my fried chicken.

If you enjoy live music and you are tired of over-crowded and over-hyped venues where the staff are too busy to notice you, you should definitely check this place out.

Came for happy hour and Summa did not disappoint. NA cocktails were on point.

The execution of their burgers is 💯

Toasting Hawaii rolls on BOTH sides.
Patties seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Mac n cheese was also fantastic. Cheese sauce was perfectly creamy without graininess that you find in so many cheese sauces.

It's the little things that make a difference and Summa delivers!

Great cozy spot for live music. Attentive bar staff. Mocktails wine and beer available. Didn't have any food there. We were specifically seeking live jazz and we're lead there by Dizzy Charlie's jazz IG.

My husband and I stopped here at lunch on our way through town and I am so glad we did. The food was so fresh and absolutely delicious. Easily the best restaurant we've been to on our vacation. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The food, service, and atmosphere were great! We loved our food, the cheese steak, fried chicken and the order of 4 smaller burgers. So good! Love the band as well. It was nice music but not overpowering. We'll be back to eat there soon!
