Karen was the absolute best! We hired her as our day-of planner for our wedding, and I can't believe how lucky we got! She is so affordable for how much she offers and takes care of. I really didn't want to do much of the planning, and she helped me through every step of the way.

Karen has a TON of decorations that she let us use. It was perfect because decorating and logistics were the main pieces I was really nervous for, and she took care of all of it. I had all the vendors booked and had decided the basics for how we wanted our wedding, but beyond that Karen took care of everything.

She came to the rehearsal dinner and made every feel so relaxed and confident that everything would go smoothly. Nerves were a little high (especially the moms) and Karen came in and completely took charge but without being too overbearing.

On the day of the wedding she showed up early with her awesome assistant and again took care of absolutely everything (organizing caterers, setting up the desserts, putting all the flowers up, setting place settings for 150+ people, etc. etc.). Basically every single little thing we were worried about she took care of. I (bride) was confined to a room all day (duh) and so I couldn't be out taking care of anything. Karen had my vision in mind and she just made it happen. Her and her assistant were so awesome to have there to guide us through the ceremony, they really made everyone in the wedding party feel comfortable and confident.

Also - she has tons of ideas and connections with local vendors - she knows the best of the best. So so so happy she was there for our special day!

Wow! Best way to experience South Lake Tahoe. Our guide Bryan provided so much rich history, geology and thoughtful destinations to make this the best part of our trip. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Don’t miss this!

I had my wedding at The Landing and I was VERY overwhelmed. Originally I was not going to hire a planner BUT I am so glad that I did. Karen knows what she is doing, she was super sweet and very knowledgeable about the area. She went above and beyond to help make my vision come true and I could not be happier. 10/10 Hire Tahoe by Design and trust them to make your special day perfect! Id do it all over again!

Worth every penny for 4 hours exploring the lake! Not only did we have a wonderful time on the grateful red with Bryan, but we learned so much history through our time on the boat and had so much fun. Have to admit the fast ride back was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. Bryan showed us the best things and took some amazing family photos for our memories.
While the whole experience was top notch, we were most appreciative of Bryan’s ability to make our youngest feel like his first mate. Explaining the boat and being patient as she talked to him non stop, we were old friends at the end of that 4 hours, so much so, she colored her page at the restaurant (that Bryan recommended) with a red boat! We will for sure book again.

Highly recommend the wine and cheese boat tour of Emerald Bay! We had such a wonderful time and it was worth every penny. Bryan is a top notch guide. Super knowledgeable and friendly.

Bryan the owner was very accommodating for myself and my bridesmaids for my bachelorette party. He was very communicative about which boat and package would be good for us considering once of my bridesmaids had a recent knee injury. For the tour, Jared was our captain and he made the entire tour so fun and memorable. Best part of the bachelorette trip by far!

Our experience with Tahoe by Design was FANTASTIC!! I don't know what we would have done without Karen as our wedding planner. She went above and beyond any of our expectations. My wife and I first attempted our wedding plans on our own, and we were overwhelmed with stress/anxiety. We were lucky enough to find Tahoe by Design, Karen, in a Google search for wedding planners in South Lake Tahoe.
We immediately felt a strong connection and trust with Karen after our first conversation.
With Karen's planning, guidance, and knowledge of South Lake Tahoe's wedding community, the stress and anxiety disappeared.
From wedding venue, wedding cake, food venders, wedding ceremony, and everything in-between, Karen was a Godsend. Our wedding day was beautiful and we will always hold it our memories.
