There are reasons that I won't recommend this SDG to anyone.
1. My sister ordered fried Dumplings and waited twenty minutes. However, the server said she didn't order it. My sister ordered it at the front desk with me. In fact we were the only guest during the visit. The restaurant was just quiet and not busy at all. After that happened, the server never apologized for that. She supposed to offer to make the dumplings soon, but never handled her mistake in a way expected. She was just looking at her phone mostly.
2. AC wasn't running. After being outside (89 F today), we expected a cooler restaurant. The restaurant was too warm. I asked the server to lower the temperature, but they never did. We were sweating.
3. I had the bibibop. The taste was terrible because the meat (beef) was too sweet and other ingredients were not balanced with it at all. Moreover, the source, gochuchag, wasn't spicy enough. Who made this unauthentic and weird bibibop? Shame on SGD!
4. The server was rude and unprofessional. I was so disappointed and regretted being there.
In Korean expression, "입맛 버렸다," which means "My tongue got wasted for bad food" is the right expression for SGD's food today.
I hate to say this expression, but I have no other words for them.
5. They served a rice in the plastic cup! Korean never do that! Please, stop it!. In addition, they gave us plastic spoons in the restaurant! Never do that!
6. The tables were sticky. I felt like they didn't wipe those tables often.
Never askfor tips for your unprofessional service!
My experience at SDG was terrible and disappointing here in NYC.

The beef in the soup is salty, but the one on top of the rice is sweet. Taste is exactly same as other Korean store. Really like the tofu in the ramen. The place is clean, but you will need to clean up after you finish your dish. Since They provided the least of services, we didn't tips much.

Staff tried really hard, but the order was a blow with chicken. On Monday at 11:45, I was told sorry we ran out of chicken and would like beef.... The order that I received was beef bento box. The other problem was I paid cash, and the total was $14.04. Why isn't it just rounded off to 14? Walking around with 96 sense in change is annoying.

I ordered the Soondubu stew with kimchi and beef and the portion size was really big for only ~ $14 (including tax). Personally thought the food was great and would definitely come back again! I got my food without the side dishes at first but I think it was the manager (?) who got it for me real quick and was really nice! This is a pretty new place so I understand there’s still some things they are inexperienced in but everyone were all really kind and the service was great. Someone even came out to check up on us. Environment was clean and I loved the Kpop music choices they had on.

Don’t bother getting food here. I understand when it comes to closing time everyone wants to get ready to head out but it’s been several time now that I come in before 8:30pm order a beef bologi bowl which comes with three sides and because they already stored everything away I either get no sides or only one side (which is the kimichi that was stored in the fridge). Mind you they close at 9pm. I work crazy hours and this is the only time I have to get dinner and I can’t even get what I’m paying for. Not even something else or a discount because they decided to put everything away before closing time.
