I was working in the area and while passing by decided to come in to see if they had the same display of oils as they used to in a Brooklyn Red hook location, which closed a while back. They didn't.. but as I walked through, I saw an amazing olive bar, really cool and expansive. (which by the way saved the review) because Sushi was terrible.. I often grab other supermarket sushi while in a rush, and it's never bad... this one, however, I do not recommend..

Just moved to NYC from London. This place is my new local. I just can’t believe how insanely overpriced everything is. 18 bucks for 4 toilet rolls. 20 for 12 small eggs. 10 for a small bag of carrots. We’re not talking fancy luxuries here. It’s insane.

Huge selection of herbal teas. Reasonable prices compared to Target. A few good discounts. Use the same rewards account as Shoprite.

Roasted chicken looks dry, and store needs a deep cleaning.

I have no idea how we got here - have no idea why or how it has become so cumbersome to purchase groceries, yet here we are! Standing in one spot waiting in line at the deli counter garners suspicion apparently, so much so that random 20 something year olds are now assigned to follow shoppers, stand and stare, watch them, make them as uncomfortable as possible, make sure they arent doing anything illegal because shopping for food is a whole anxiety inducing trauma show now. Nothing can be simple, because people like this. Buying food to nourish one's self is actually hell because broads like this! Being alone and in public and running a simple errand is multiple human rights violations waiting to happen because people like this. Please be careful if you see this broad, apparently she thinks she's the feds.

She literally stood behind me, lingered, and paced back and forth for 10 minutes while I waited - and STARED ME DOWN!

We go out of our way to shop here as we are vegan and this store carries several items we can't find in any other store (even Whole Foods and Trader Joe's). The staff is super nice and always helpful but sometimes hard to locate. Clean, well-stocked, reasonable prices. Would love a store to come to upper Manhattan!

Hate that this is as good as it gets in Manhattan. If you need a reliable selection of name brands at sub-gouging prices, though still not cheap, this is the place to go. But the store is run poorly. It's not that anyone is rude or that they're understaffed.... the whole system just seems very ill managed. It doesn't seem like anyone is in charge. Entirely self-checkout machines, which are touchy and constantly freeze up, and it takes forever for someone to come unlock them. And the deli counter? Be prepared to rip out your own innards from despair while you wait

As an Aussie, grocery shopping in NYis a pain in the ass. Fairways is like Coles or Woolies. Good selection of everyday items and reasonably priced. Awesome deli and hot soup, staff CAN be nice but it's not a cert every time. It's clean and well lit.
