Ruben was great setting us up in our new house today. We moved into a new town that didn’t take our previous internet provider. I went on the Nextdoor app to ask who has the best internet service in town. I got a lot of responses and 99.9% said Astound was the best.

What can I say … RUBEN!!! Is Excellent!!! His customer service, his demeanor, so friendly and respectful and a genuine man. I don’t want anyone else helping us with our service but Ruben!! Used coupon code for frere instillation. Got a bill after install that didn't reflect that discount, even though i had the e-mail summary bill showing the code and the discount. Spent 15+ minutes with billing over the error. They didn't know about the code and kept saying it didn't shown up on their end. They finally did a "curtesy" removal of the install charge. All billing personnel should have a list of ALL coupon codes given out by the marketing department.

What used to be an amazing service provider is now an unreliable, deceiving company. Since being acquired by Astound, Wave has gone continuously downhill. Customer service representatives are clueless, they exist merely to upsell you on data plans you don't need. My internet speeds have been throttled for months, I've had many technicians come over just for them to accomplish nothing and gaslight me into thinking nothing is wrong, one technician even told me the wrong speeds. After being explicitly told I wouldn't be charged for another technician by customer service, they charged me anyway, and the issue still wasn't resolved. I was given a bandaid solution of an "upgrade" with a $5 discount, and now my speeds are slower! I've been loyal to Wave for over half a decade but I'm at my wits end with Astound. I'm considering switching to AT&T
