would not recommend for any type of website. at first they seemed great, low costs & friendly/understanding service, but as the project went on I realized the idiocy & thievery that this company is about. Slowly and slowly the costs kept rising, the original cost was $1400 to build the website, then he said we need hosting & there content package ($400) which was supposed to be writing for the whole website but ended up being 4 sentences on the home page, there were a couple other things that we "needed to purchase" to get any functionality out of the website. If you decide to work with them expect 4 calls a day asking pretty much the same thing. The work looks very very very good which is why it gets a 1 and not a 0... If this company told me what the actual cost of the full entire website was I would not have gone with them, there are too many hidden costs & migraines that come with Designs Gene Pro.

After studying and meeting with several companies, I decided to give Designs Gene Pro a shot at creating my new website. Because I was dissatisfied with my previous website and web design company, I wanted a new one as soon as possible. The team at Gene did it all and is excellent at meeting deadlines. Designs Gene Pro created an excellent website. I had my website built and am extremely happy with the results. They are now doing the SEO for my website

I got referred to this company by a family member. I asked the company to design a logo and create a website for my company.
I wish I had read the reviews before talking to them.
At first they told me to pay $400 CAD but after I checked my transactions I saw that I got charged for $536. It’s been 4 months that I’ve been asking for the refund but they won’t pay it back.
I payed for the content, domain, and hostess and they wanted to do the social media as well but thank god we didn’t accept to do more business with them.
I have asked George to complete the website several times I call him message him he says ok but still no change after I check. I have called and texted his manager and asked him to solve the problem, he says I have spoke to George he will get it done but still nothing. It’s been 4 months and they haven’t finished. When they want money they call every 2 mins but when it comes to you they don’t care.
If I could I would rate 0 for this company.
Do not get tricked by them.

Please do your research and read the reviews before signing up with Design Gene Pro, I regret so much signing up with this company. I have signed up 5 years of hosting with them and now I am stuck. My emails never work and whenever I ask I for an update on when my emails will be up and running - they completely ignore my calls, messages, etc. I have had so much downtime with my business due their incompetency. Whenever they need money or try to upsell me new products, they call me multiple times in the day but whenever there is a issue on their end, they go completely silent. As I sit here and write this review, my emails have been down since Sunday evening; they have failed to reach out to me and let me know what is happening and when I can expect my emails to be up and running. Please save yourself and do not use this company.

I hope that anyone considering this company checks out the reviews first as I did not. I'm writing this review after months and months of disappointment and dishonesty from the team at Designs Gene Pro.

I had the great displeasure of working directly with Joe Jordan, Alvin Schofield and George Carter. The project started amicably when I approached this company for some SEO work on my domain. Things started taking a turn for the worse, but I foolishly chalked it up to bad luck and did my best to work with the team.

The first issue arose when I was told my current website needed to be revamped to meet Google SEO standards, no problem. Then, it had to change hosting sites so they could edit the site better, again no problem. The initial timeline to transfer the domain was missed 3 separate times and every time it was me who had to check in to ask about the delay. Finally when I told them to can the project, my website was miraculously up and running within 2 hours. However this was done under a new domain name, that I reluctantly agreed to.

Once this was settled I was informed that on top of the fee to create a whole new website (I begrudgingly agreed to this as well), I was now going to be charged $400 never before mentioned to have it "hosted on their secure server. I was quite upset about this, but had no other choice and paid the fee.

I was finally excited as all the hard work was done and I could finally see my SEO rankings increase over time, I hoped. In a written email I confirmed a schedule for reports and clarified a few other things, which the team acknowledged in response. The team missed 3 or 4 of these weekly reports within a 6 week timeframe and before the last one I asked again, to simply can this work and get the remaining half of that contract's value back (as they offered a money back guarantee for dissatisfaction). I was met with poor excuses and empty promises that not only would the ranks be increased, no more deadlines would be missed. While they did hold true on increasing my rankings for some keywords, it was none that we had agreed on at the beginning or our work contract. They did of course miss another deadline which when I asked kindly that they stop providing any work for me and if they needed to contact they could do so by email only as I wanted everything documented.

Following this they did not contact me by email once, but did manage to call me numerous times. Finally I had a pop up installed from the server side (that I was denied access to) pretending to be malware and rendering the site utterly useless. I was able to remove this issue with some help from an outside source and looked into the issue further. It turns out that they are in fact not hosting my website, but GoDaddy is and they overcharged me significantly for a normal service offered by GoDaddy to the general public.

Some time passes and the pop up shows up again, right after a missed call from their company. I've since contacted them again, asking them kindly to stop trying to ruin my business proceedings and remove this popup.

All told I'm out a couple thousand dollars and have learned a valuable lesson. Please read this review and take it to heart. This is a deeply unethical company, do not give them your business.

I had the great displeasure of working directly with Hannah Austin, and her Director. The project started amicably when I approached this company for logo design work on my future website. Things started taking a turn for the worse, when Hannah was not designing anything I requested. Modifying suggestions is not giving any new creative design to old concepts.

The first issue arose when no designs or concepts were to my liking, no problem. More suggestions, nothing new developed.

The initial timeline for design kept going, and going really no end in site.
One would think if the designer does the work, and impresses you with what they accomplish. One would consider continuing more work with Designs Gene.

After an unfortunate discussion with their sales director, and disclosing that I wanted a new website designed....well let's just say the logo design was a wash.

Promising that Designs Gene Pro was the company for me, and how it would change my business. I think he missed my business plan, and geographical location. He turned it into a global market business plan. He totally missed the scope of what I wanted.

Bombarded by calls to sign up for website, SEO, and everything they could offer became their only objective. Did I mention I wanted a LOGO!?

I no longer have time to spend on this back and forth, I wanted a logo, and nothing was completed. Hannah is confused why I am disgruntled by their service. The icing on the cake...she sends me to their branding department for TRADEMARKING this logo that I will not use. The charges to trademark were OUTRAGEOUS.

Needless to say DESIGNS GENE PRO. was the worst gamble ever. If you want nothing accomplished and time waited use DESIGNS GENE PRO. time waisted and money donated to wasting my time.

Beware of this company. They contacted me on an offline software project I was planning on doing. They sold me the package without disclaiming any future needed expense. When they finally got a simple software done they were trying to hit me with an extra 1.2K fee, if they would have disclaimed that fee which they knew from the beginning that was going to be needed I would had not payed them a single penny. Very scammy way of doing business. Lost 1.5k never again doing any type of business with them.

They do not refund my money when I asked. It took over a month to get my logo. They switched the person I worked with. They keep trying to up-charge me. I sent them a detailed list of what I wanted and they kept getting it wrong. They don't draw it up they use an system with pre designed art. You can make the same logo at home. Do not waste your time and money with them! Listen to the bad reviews, I did not and I paid for it.
