The Prairie Creek Vineyard & Winery was our 53rd Nebraska Passport stop in 2024, and after a long day driving home, we were happy to stop in for a hot meal and some time outside the car. We were warmly greeted and seated, and noticed plenty of outlets for phone charging, so we took full advantage of that amenity. Our waitress was great and took very good care of us. The restaurant is beautiful with a big-city feel and the food was pretty good too.

We came here for our pre- Valentines dinner . All of the wine samples I tasted were very good. The ambiance, service ,and food presentation were excellent. Prices were decent. The salmon was an eexcellent choice. My hubby had the chicken/capers. Was a great choice as well. Our server was excellent and informative. I think her name was Heather, but I may be wrong? She was kind enough to take a photo with us and of us. Thanks! We will bring our friends next time. (We also made a reservation to be safe as it was a 45 min drive from Columbus.)

Our over all experience was great! We made a reservation for 5:45, which was perfect. Right before they started to get busy. Our waitresses were awesome, checking in often and keeping up on drinks, all without hovering too much. I got the firecracker burger, which I highly recommend! My husband ordered the sirloin and our only complaint would be the lack or even nonexistent seasoning. Not even sure it was salted 😅. It was good non the less. We walked away full and happy. It was spendy but for a treat once in a while it's worth the food, wine and atmosphere. We highly recommend trying it atleast once.

Really great atmosphere, people, food, and wine of course). Kind of a hidden gem out west of Lincoln and Omaha.

UPDATE: We got in their wine club to give us more reason to drive over for date night. Their renovated building, the nice people, the great food and wine have never once disappointed is over the years. Proof that you don't have to have a big menu if you use fresh, high quality ingredients and do things well!

Prairie Creek has catered the Thanksgiving lunch at our work for the past 3 years and it is a meal all of us look forward to! They prepare all the food and deliver/serve it, and they are always so helpful and friendly. The food is always AMAZING! We look forward to next year.

The atmosphere of this winery is pristine, and the wines are delicious. Whenever I am in the area again this is a definite stop.

Update: My wife and I stopped in again recently, and were excited to try some new food and drinks. They still have a diverse selection of wines, as well as a couple craft beers on tap. The last time we came in, we really enjoyed the food. The food is still amazing!

My wife ordered the Salmon, which came with asparagus and a rice/quinoa medley. The salmon was excellent, and the sides were seasoned and cooked perfectly. She also got a side salad, which typically is not the exciting part of the meal. There was a lot of thought put into the salad and I ended up eating half of it myself!

I ordered a sirloin steak, which was topped with a herb butter, and came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I ordered my steak medium, and it was done perfectly. The butter was a very nice touch, something I haven't had before. The sides were also very good too. The only thing I felt was missing was a piece of bread to sponge up all the remaining meat juices and taters.

We also ordered an appetizer called 'Lavish'. It was a thin crust sort of pizza thing, with grilled chicken, artichokes, havarti cheese, and herbs. I could have just eaten that and been happy.

This winery/restaurant is so amazing, and I wish I could come more often. The attention to detail to the food and wine, and quality of service is always 5 stars.
