Runyan Saltzman Einhorn is a 1960's-era public relations agency, based in Sacramento and founded by the legendary and colorful "Queen of Sacramento PR", Jean Runyon, who is now deceased. Over the years, RS&E has added advertising, design and interactive capabilities, and currently describes itself as an "integrated marketing communications" firm even though the majority of the senior partners are public relations professionals. Despite the eclectic, quirky and cherished personality of its founder, RS&E is today a fairly conventional agency with few notable or nationally-recognized campaigns. Although the creative style of the the agency could be described as risk-averse and unlikely to challenge advertising conventions or win national recognition, and although there is little/no formal strategic planning process in place, RS&E nonetheless maintains a strong foothold in regional, state-run "social marketing" campaigns.
