Not a big menu but a great one. Food is quite good, service is quick and the prices are bit less pricey than other Korean restaurants. The side dishes are also worth it on their own! Go! Those hot plates are hot! Be careful!
There are several Chicagoland So Gong Dong locations and they all seem to be on the same level - excellent!

The service isn’t as good as the one in Glenview, it took them 10 minutes before our orders were taken. After ordering and waited 10 minutes we still didn’t get our side dishes, we finally have to ask for it. Once our banbhan was out we have to ask. The Glenview restaurant staff is always on top of things.

The food came out slow and many minutes wait between different peoples meals. Food was good as usual, wonder if they are under staff or need better supervision?

Incredible Korean comfort food, and incredible food in general. Everything is perfectly cooked, quickly delivered, unbelievably fun and delicious to eat. The sides are to die for, and the atmosphere is simple. The service is friendly. very affordable in today’s food market.

Always my go-to when I’m in Schaumburg.

Tofu soup was recommended to me by our son. I ordered it with noodle #3 (Korean) and beef. Delicious! I finished the whole thing!

My family had a terrific lunch at SGD! The service was fast, and the food was delicious. Thank you for accommodating my young child and making us feel welcome. I would absolutely recommend SGD to others looking for Korean BBQ.

Food is top quality and fresh ingredients. Complimentary variety bon chon is nice too. Food served quickly and piping hot. Seafood pancake was extra crispy and the accompanying sauce was really tasty. Beef Ba bibimbop was good but could have been better if the stone was hotter or the use of more sesame oil on the bottom for the rice to crisp up. The quantity of beef should have been a bit more in the dishes. If you want the fried egg on top just let them know when ordering.
Buckwheat tea was also brewed and made well with the kettle on the table vs asking for more.
The beef and kimchi soup was excellent. The kimchi was a little tangy and sour that made it taste that much more delicious!

It was very busy for lunch and all the dishes that came out looked very appetizing. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean and the ambience was nice. Take out containers are provided. Carryout galore going out the door and were packed neatly.

All in all, this is a nice place to dine in, relax and have a delicious authentic Korean meal!

I came here for the first time. Very clean. The service is also good. Things are not bad either. Spicy seafood soup is delicious. Their pancakes are absolutely 100% recommended. The dishes are great. Except for the spicy cabbage, which is a little strict and not enough time, everything else is perfect.

Friendly staffs, Cozy and comfortable restaurant for family, couples, groups. Hot tea and water were offered once we seated Refreshing banchan were offered before our foods arrived, it doesn’t take long for our foods arrive. Crispy fried dumplings were good. Beef Raman noodles were not over cooked, The broth flavor was mild, but good. Beef bugogi was flavorful with rice on the side. Kimchee soup comes with noodles on the bottom side hot stone steamed rice along with the order. We all enjoyed our dishes. We get there right when they open. The place fills up quickly. Highly recommended.
We returned and the food and service were still good .
