Short wait for a waiter to get assigned to us, but they brought some free takoyaki out and gave us home made cookies at the end of the meal as well so it didn’t bother us. The waitress we had was phenomenal, really funny and very sweet. Sushi itself was about a 7/10, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t outstanding for the price either. Feels like some of the regular rolls should be cheaper, they’re about $8-$10. A lot of the deluxe rolls end up being upwards of $16, and for the quality it feels a bit much. Looks like there was also Korean food and other items on the menu that looked pretty good, we’ll be back to try other items too.

Korean soul food and a great environment. Traveled there for happy hour to get some quick sushi and drinks. The happy hour menu is very limited and we only took advantage of the two for
one beers. I was pleasantly surprised with the bulgogi BimBimbap in which one of the owners explained and prepared the dish at our table with freshening ingredients. The dish was very delightful full of flavor and spices. The sushi was on par with most Asian restaurants.

I remember really enjoying this restaurant when I visited a few years ago. However, when I visited on Saturday night before my friend's birthday party, it turned out to be a bad decision. We waited for a table for roughly 30 minutes, and the staff didn't communicate with us at all while we were waiting. When our table was finally available, it took them another 10 minutes to clean and seat us. Once we sat down, our server informed us that they had fewer kitchen staff because there was no dishwasher staff on that day, so we couldn't order Kalbi. We could only order sushi. I wish they had told us that when we were waiting so that we could have decided whether to wait or go somewhere else.

For appetizers, we ordered Baked Scallop which was good, but there wasn't much scallop or seafood in it. I ordered Spider Roll, Jazzy Roll with Salmon, and Wednesday Morning Roll, while my husband got Rendezvous Roll and Crazy Japanese Roll. Unfortunately, all the rolls were average. The rice was overcooked, and the sashimi didn't taste fresh to me. The deep-fried rolls and ingredients were also very cold. Although I love supporting local businesses, I wish they would pay more attention to the quality of the ingredients and service they provide.

We celebrated our 2-year anniversary at Sushi Lola's and it was absolutely memorable! The highlight was the sashimi - each piece was fresh, expertly sliced, and incredibly flavorful. Along with our wonderful meal, the service was top-notch. Our server, a charming older woman, kept us entertained and laughing, making our evening even more special. It's the perfect spot for a delightful dining experience and great for celebrating special occasions like anniversaries!

Exceptional Sushi Experience!

I cannot speak highly enough of this hidden gem of a sushi restaurant! Despite its small size, every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service from the attentive staff.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food! Each bite was a symphony of flavors, showcasing the freshest ingredients and expert craftsmanship of the sushi chefs. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or a newcomer to Japanese cuisine, this place will surely tantalize your taste buds.

The ambiance was cozy and intimate, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable meal. Plus, the attention to detail in the presentation of each dish elevated the dining experience to new heights.

In conclusion, if you're craving top-notch sushi served with a side of genuine hospitality, look no further than this charming sushi spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I went to Sushi Lola tonight. As I stood by the podium, the hostess busied herself with other things. That seemed normal, and I thought nothing about it. However, she only took notice of who was coming in once there were two other couples, and she ignored me. The couple pointed at me and said 'she was here first' and I asked to be seated outside. The hostess brought me a menu and I said thank you - she didn't say anything (not abnormal on a busy night). But I sat for 15 minutes without anyone asking if I wanted a drink. I had to ask my family how long they will wait maximum before giving up lol.

I got up and left tonight. I'm willing to be wrong, but I felt purposely ignored.

Atmosphere and service with fine, however, both me and my husband ordered eel and dragon rolls and got bones in both of our rolls.

I know these can't kill you, but the amount of them and just how unappetizing it is to see bones in your food really took from the experience. They were big enough that if you ate them you could feel them in your mouth. My husband got way more than I did (though maybe I wasn't as diligently looking).

To me it's kind of like cleaning shrimp. If you don't clean it the stuff is not gonna kill you, but it's still gross, and gives the vibe that the chef doesn't know what they're doing well enough to properly clean the shrimp, and in this case, take the bones out of the eel.

Probably won't be going again. Why pay $44 for sushi with bones in the eel when I can go to a different sushi place and pay $44 for sushi that doesn't have bone in it? Also, there is barely any parking. Had to go park at East End Market and walk to the restaurant.
