Needed a place to eat after nine holes at nearby Winter Park Golf course. This place was a great find! Had the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich with fries. Very crispy thigh that was very juicy inside. Perfect. The slaw was unique and tasty. Add a good cold beer. Worth a stop!

Hubby and I ventured into somewhere new to us - Hen & Hog Scratch Kitchen on Fairbanks in Winter Park. It's a cute little place with a quaint ambiance.

Everything we tasted was outstanding. 😋 The Fried Chicken was the best I've had in Central Florida. Homemade Mac & Cheese that leaves you wanting more. Delicious onion rings. My husband loved his Cuban Sandwich and the fresh slaw is oh so healthy with a tart kick from the apple cider vinegar (with the mother) and ground turmeric.

The Rootbeer was delivered in a frosty mug, that our server swapped out for a new frosty mug after mug #1 lost it's frost. Now that's service.

My husband is a finicky one and he can't wait to go back. There are lots of other goodies on the menu too and they also do Brunch.

They are located in the same plaza with All Fired Up...you can drag the hubby in to paint some pottery after you've filled his belly with Hen & Hog goodness. Definitely check this one out.

I went here for the first time and the customer service lacked personality. The food left much to be desired. The barbecue sauce wasn’t my style on the ribs. I’m not sure what rub of seasonings was used for the Nashville hot chicken and it wasn’t good. I did enjoy the Mac and cheese and the fries.

OMG!!! You have to come here! I’m beyond words for the amount of Flavor & love that went into my food!! The owner is so cool and they play Awesome music to boot! I came for a work lunch break after the lunch rush! Service was Funny and Fast! I couldn’t decide so we got a few things. I can’t remember what the appetizer name was but it was so good with crawfish in it.
I got the Mushroom Swiss burger & my coworker got the Jalapeño burger! Impeccable taste and I was full after eating half of it!! They have lots of craft beer, ipas, ciders, sodas!

Cool place near downtown winter park! I stopped by alone for lunch on a Saturday, and they were pretty busy. The line moved along quick enough. The decor is cool, and comfy feeling. I got the rye patty melt. I easily found a table, however there isn’t too much seating available in the place, so keep that in mind. People were left standing not long after my arrival. Food arrived promptly, and had great flavor, no complaints here. The staff came by to check on me once, and I was fine, so nothing was needed. Pricing was appropriate for the area (which means it’s a little high) as with all venues downtown winter park, parking can be awful, and the streets can be congested depending on the time of day, so keep this in mind. They have their own parking lot, but that is actually a shared lot with multiple other businesses adjacent to them, so it’s really not a good situation there. Overall I do recommend giving this place a try if you’re in the area and feeling for fatty unhealthy southern comfort food.

Food was incredible. In town for a weekend and ended up eating here twice because it was so good. 10/10 recommend the chicken biscuit, country fried chicken and cinnamon roll bread pudding.

As a periodic visitor of Orlando, I scrolled into recommendations to satiate my hunger.

Came across this wonderful, owner operated, local, farm to table establishment.

Through the final hour before closing, I was in analysis paralysis as I was deciding what to order. All menu items were well-crafted to an assortment of palates.

I decided on the Cheese Curds and Patty Melt w/ Fries.
Food was made to order. Portioned well. Flavorful.

The Owner and his establishment are a peak representation of food with purpose. Great atmosphere. Wonderful food experience. Will definitely be a returning customer.

Scratch made food here was excellent. The chicken wings alone are worth me driving 30 minutes here. Owner works the front and is very friendly and funny. They have $1 chicken wing Wednesdays which is what I will come back here next time for!
