I’ve had good experiences at this place until tonight. Fridays attract an extremely disrespectful crowd i guess. I was waiting a while for a drink at the bar tonight (Friday, March 7th) and a girl with fake, dyed red hair grabbed my collar and pulled me away from the bar since I was “in her way” I guess….. but I was in full shock. It was so disgusting and rude … I have never been so disrespected by a stranger in public. Would LOVE to see the security tapes because it was absolutely unwarranted and I would love to share this footage with future customers. I bet that won’t happen tho. I won’t be coming back after this experience. Check your crowd before you let them in, skinny bar

Cute bar with charming decor and a very fun vibe! I held my birthday party here in a semi-private space and have attended one in the upstairs room as well. Both nights were a blast and the DJ knew just what to play to get us fallin in love. Definitely a place to add to your list when you’re bar-hopping in the East Village!

I hosted my birthday party at the upper mezzanine floor and it was perfect. Crystal was incredibly helpful with preparing the space for the party and Jim was of great help with getting my DJ set up. Jess was a perfect bartender. everyone and everything was greatly accommodating, kind, and attentive to my party needs and requests. I would absolutely host another party with SkinnyBar!

I hosted my birthday party for about 90 people at Skinny Bar, and it was a fantastic experience. Crystal was extremely helpful in reserving the bar and securing drink specials at no extra charge. We also made a last-minute request to rent the top floor, and Riley was great in making that possible. Thanks for the amazing time! Overall, I highly recommend Skinny Bar if you're looking to host!

Avoid this bar!!!! The bar manager here is horrible. He was very rude and aggressive. I am visiting New York from another country and when I asked for a drink he started screaming at me. I must have done something wrong which would never be my intention but his reaction made me extremely upset and ruined my night. Maybe he was having a bad day but I wouldn’t risk interacting with this individual again.

My friend and I did a Pulsd deal for 2 entrees and 2 hours of brunch drinks. I got the chicken and waffles, she got the lox and eggs Benedict English muffin. Both were really fantastic. For unlimited drinks, each drink was pretty strong (we tried the spritzer, the mimosa, and the screwdriver). The staff were also really friendly, cool and attentive. I'd definitely come back here. For a Saturday brunch, it was really relaxed.

I hosted my birthday party here and it was literally the best night EVER! Crystal was so easy to work with and was able to give us recommendations on which space/drink options would be best for your group. The bouncers, bar staff, DJ, honestly everyone at the venue was so incredible!! I would 100% do it again!
