Friends said Third Street Social in Lee’s Summit was a good place to eat, our experience was not so good. Had reservations for 5:30 on a Friday and we were seated quickly. Immediately noticed that the light at our table was so dim you could barely read the menu. Waited nearly 15 minutes to get a drink order and it was hard to hear the waitress because it was so VERY loud inside the restaurant. It was difficult for the three at our table to have a conversation. I ordered the fried half chicken ($25) with one side (grilled broccoli) and my wife got the stuffed salmon ($36). My broccoli was burnt so bad it tasted like ashes, ironically it was cold. The fried chicken had a good flavor but was very overcooked, dry and though to chew. My wife said the stuffed salmon was “so so”. Wasn’t bad but not the best. We ordered some braised pork belly burnt ends as an appetizer ($16), that was very good but a very small portion. Five very small bites. The prices are very high for what you are served and for what you pay the preparation and taste was not that good. Pretty disappointing for the amount of money we spent.

This place was the perfect night out for 2. Atmosphere was romantic, but laid back, and the service was so relatable. We went here for Valentine's Day and ordered the tomahawk for 2 dinner, which was insane! Along with the dessert selection, wine and overall great time, I would HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for an exotic experience of the big city, without the traffic.

You know how you go out to eat and it is expensive and disappointing? Not here. 3rd Street is one of the places where everyone leaves satisfied. We popped in just after Christmas and everyone in our party cleaned their plates.

Super unique and clever combinations. Grilled beets on a salad? Check. Savory cheese pie? Check.

Worth every penny. We were beside ourselves with how much of an enjoyable experience this was.

I had the Beef fillet. My wife had salmon. Both were excellent. My steak was so tender I could almost cut it with my fork. The atmosphere is great and the bar is good too. Try this one or their sister restaurants. The s’mores pie is awesome. To die for!!

Third Street Social in Lee's Summit is a gem for comfort food lovers. We started with the house-made doughnuts, which were light, fluffy, and had that perfect hint of sweetness. The biscuits and gravy were savory and satisfying, with a creamy gravy that complemented the soft, warm biscuits. The classic breakfast was well-executed with all the essentials done right, but the standout had to be the chicken-fried beef tenderloin—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, it was an indulgent and flavorful treat. Great food across the board, making it a spot worth visiting!

We met our friends here for brunch at 10 AM on a Sunday. We had reservations and I’m glad we did because the place fills up fast.

The food here is always really good. We had the pimento cheese appetizer, and the pork belly burnt ends appetizer. Both of them were good.

My wife had the chicken biscuit which she loved. I had the braised rock pork shoulder with cheesy grits and collard greens. Collard greens were gray! They were cooked with bacon. On my grits for the star of the plate because they did not spare any butter. Everyone at the table, tried them and loved them. I was disappointed with the pork shoulder itself because it was dry. Definitely from yesterday and not today. We were there right when they opened so maybe that was my mistake to order it.

But I know this place to be excellent otherwise so we will absolutely come back.

Purchased the fried chicken dinner special on Sunday evening . This is 2nd or 3rd time we have received lukewarm food. Today’s dinner was served to us in less than 10 minutes after seating at our booth.absolutely everything was lukewarm- chicken, mashed potatoes, collard greens, corned bread. We returned it and 6 minutes later we received what appeared to be the exact same pieces of chicken now overcooked (either by microwave or deep fried). The crust was fried out. Potatoes now cold. Greens and cornbread lukewarm the server said he throughout the other plate—but we didn’t believe it since the chicken pieces and sizes looked identical to first set and cornbread still had 3 pieces although it came to us originally with 4. We think it was microwaved or put back in deep fryer. The server removed half of the cost of the entree. We left still hungry as we left a lot on the plates. We ate the dried out chicken mainly.the visit was overall Disappointing.
