Virginia peach sunrise is sweet for my palate, but still amazing .. Highly recommend exploring this place.. while here, I got to see entire staff cheering for a birthday boy at a nearby table.. My husband and I have been coming here for the last 3 years. This restaurant used to be a 10/10 for us in terms of food, drinks, prices, vibes. We would bring all of our friends here because it was one of our favorite spots. The last few times, we noticed that the food and drinks didn’t hit the spot. The service was also not as great as it used to be. We figured that the restaurant had new ownership and stopped dining here. Last week, we wanted Thai food, and because we live right down the street, we decided to try it out one more time. We were VERY disappointed. I ordered the panang curry but couldn’t sub out the beef for anything else, which is unusual. I decided to go ahead and get it even though I don’t typically eat beef and was going to share with my husband anyway. The bowl of curry that came out was the smallest bowl of curry i’ve ever seen. It was filled with a good amount of the beef, but the reason for a curry is the soupy goodness, not necessarily the meat option. I am not exaggerating when I say i finished my soup in about 10 bites. I was so disappointed because I was really craving a good curry on a cold night. My husbands noodles didn’t have any spice even though we had asked for extra spicy. I flagged down the server and told her we were pretty upset about the tiny bowl of curry and felt that for $25, this was a very small amount of food. She told us that if we wanted a bigger bowl of curry, we should order the other two curries instead. I asked her why that wasn’t relayed to us when we ordered and she didn’t have an answer. She told us she would bring another bowl of curry. The server wad also in a hurry to leave the table despite the resturant not being that crowded, and we felt like we were being cut off when we were trying to talk because she didn’t want to serve us. When the second curry came out, it was cold. Not even luke warm, just straight cold. We spent almost over a $100 for subpar food. This place is not what it used to be on any level, and it’s very disappointing that we won’t be able to dine here anymore.

Not only my 1st visit to the Bay Area but my 1st visit to Torsap Thai Kitchen and experiencing Thai food. We shared the crab fried rice and the fresh spring rolls. I had the Eggplant Basil along with the Rising Sun. My friends had the Green Chili Rib-Eye and the Yellow Curry. It was definitely an unforgettable experience.

Picked up an order today for the first time. What a mistake. It’s not Authentic Thai food. The Tofu was refried in spicy eggplant which was not spicy. Green curry with tofu tasted like blotting paper. The food was tossed in the trash. So much so that I decided to make pbj sandwich and be done with. Horrible experience. Hostess could hardly understand me, didn’t ask spicy levels when taking order. I won’t be going there again to spend close to $80 again

The atmosphere was really nice, service was great. We liked most of the dishes, just some of the sides were a miss. Overall, a wonderful restaurant. Great for a date.

On the corner. Street parking. Came on a Thursday night with a reservation, seated right away. Started with a round of drinks. Everyone loved their drinks! We favored the Tom yum cocktail! Very unique flavors a nice spin of southeast Asian herbs. All the dishes we ordered had amazing taste. The Panaag curry beef was super tender. And sea bass was so soft. Garlic wings were garlic-ing. Nam Khoa was one of my favorite! Drunken was on the sweet side. I think my only complaint was the quality and amount of white rice… it either was bottom of the barrel or end of day rice. Just didn’t match the freshness of all the food. Server was ok, bus boys more friendly. All in all great food! Highly recommend giving a try.

I have always loved coming to your restaurant—it’s been a favorite spot of mine for a long time. However, my recent visit was quite disappointing, and I felt it was important to share my experience.

We had a reservation, and my friend arrived on time. However, the table was withheld until all members of our party were present, which was inconvenient. Once we were seated, we felt rushed throughout the meal. The bill was brought to us before our drinks had even arrived, and we were repeatedly asked if we were finished. To add to this, a staff member asked for the menu in an aggressive manner, which made us uncomfortable.

At the end of our meal, the host spoke to us in a confrontational tone, despite the manager earlier telling us we could take our time. We were never informed of a 90-minute seating policy, and it appeared this rule was not being enforced with other tables around us. The entire experience felt inconsistent and unwelcoming, which is very unfortunate given how much I enjoy your establishment.

Clear communication of policies in advance and consistent, courteous service from all staff members could go a long way in ensuring a positive experience for guests.

I’m disappointed with the service I received today. I brought my family here for lunch and everyone received their entrees except for me. I patiently waited but when everyone was finished with their meal, I asked when mine was going to be served. Our server who seems to be the manager/lead checked and said it’ll be ā€œa few more minutesā€. I asked to cancel my order since everyone else was finished. When I received the check, she removed the entree that was cancelled but added a mandatory 18% gratuity for my party of 4.

When inquired about this mandatory 18% gratuity, she said it’s because she cancelled the dish that was never served…. (Their menu states gratuity is added to larger parties of 6 or more). So Instead of owning up to the issue, they wanted to make sure they get compensated for their mistake. So Bizarre. Please train your staff on better handling of issues.
