It's not just the reviews that reflect the situation; it's also the attitude of some workers in this facility. Many employees seem unwilling to help those in need, even when individuals ask for more information. Instead of assistance, they often feel pushed away or face unprofessional security from allied company personnel who escort them out. While some workers are friendly and helpful, I hope they can receive more support and professionalism from all staff members. Unfortunately, just one person's negative behavior can tarnish the overall experience for everyone.

Sure where the building is located sucks but the bad reviews are probably people who don't have the stuff ready beforehand or just unlucky with the staff. However we were lucky. We got nice people who informed us and weren't annoyed at us. Like actually tried to help us. Either way it's a government office. It's rare to have good reviews. I'm sure their hands are tied sometimes when it comes to helping.

IDK about the bad reviews. they have to be people that just didn't have what they were supposed to have and couldn't be helped. But this is by far the best county building. They are very fast , polite, professional and organized. I have never had a problem with them in the 8/9 yrs I've been going there ,outside of some times there are so many people the line moves slow but other than that no other location in la county even come close to the speed and efficiency of this dpss building. And don't let anyone lie and tell you otherwise.

This LA social services “Department” is a JOKE! Good luck getting the help you need. Our LASSD wastes all the funds that they should be providing us, on THEMSELVES! Unchecked they defraud the people by middle-manning the money and spending most of it on their salaries, excessive perks, and overly complex systems to make it for those who need it ti get it!

Highly unorganised government entity. Phone system and voice ID broken for 3 years, never fixed. Call holding times exceed 1 - 1.5 hours, service reps calls this "normal". Most reps are unwilling to help, rude manners, love to hand up on you. Within the last 2 years they hung up on me 5 different times each time lazy to look up something. Seems no internal quality control or monitoring in place.

Just moved into the area. The staff is awesome if your give the right attitude. These poor employees have to deal with all the homeless,mentally ill and wackos from the area. I suggest coming after 1pm on a Thursday afternoon- no line,no attitude from security,after security check you are greeted by a worker who you state what you’re looking for and they will guide you to the proper line. A lot of characters from the street will keep you entertained with their loud conversations on their cell phones ( sometimes I think it’s a fake cell phone they are holding) my suggestion is to have no attitude and have an proper voice tone and you will be in and out in no time.
