Great galbijjim spot with pretty decent portions. The sauce is amazing with the perfect level of spice to your customization. Mike our waiter was very friendly and helped answer our questions about the menu. We also came in at a good time so the wait was minimal. Highly recommend

The original Kalbijjim spot. Very popular and serving sizes are very big. Would recommend coming with a group size of 4 or more.

The Kalbijjim is flavoured well and has a generous amount of rice cakes which I appreciated. The meat slices were a bit dry and tough - for this reason, I think Daeho executes the Kalbijjim better.

The Sulung Tang is comforting and light. It seasoned perfectly such that it is not too salty without being bland. This would be a great meal after drinking.

The environment is on the louder side. I personally really enjoyed the music being played. Workers are also attentive.

Sun Nong Dan is a Korean restaurant located in Koreatown, Mike & Mason made customer service exceptional.
The atmosphere is inviting, making it an excellent choice for both casual meals, Attentive & friendly staff are eager to assist with menu selections & ensure a pleasant dining experience. The oxtail soup, a signature dish, is often highlighted for its rich, savory broth & tender meat, perfectly seasoned. It’s served piping hot and is a favorite for those seeking comfort food with authentic flavors.
Making it easy to access specially in a busy town, Valet is super convenient. Great place to dine for every member in the family. Sun Nong Dan is a must-visit for anyone in the area craving Korean cuisine.

Very delicious Korean food. The Galbi Jjim is a must have. We came on a Sunday evening and there was no wait. We ordered the medium size Galbi Jjim with cheese and also a very light beef soup. It is very nice they don't have a complicated menu. The Galbi Jjim was so flavorful and the soup was so good because it was very light, you even had to add salt yourself. Perfect combination. We tried our best but couldn't finish everything. Valet parking was 5 bucks cash only.

Overall amazing food and I’ll return. Very popular place and open late. Everything on their menu is good and you can not go wrong with the short rib dry cabbage soup. They also have the flame thing, which is super large portion.

My concern is 1. The parking is sooooo painful. You either pay $20 valet for a $20 meal or find parking somewhere deep in the back streets. 2. Too loud. Many times I was not able to hear anything and it gave me anxiety after the meal. I think it’s not just the loud music, also how the building was not designed to absorb noise.

Food was great. I got short rib spicy soup was very tasty. The meat on the bone was soft enough for it just slide off. Portions are big. A soup can be shared if you are not that hungry. The couple next to us got the cheese plate and it was very big!!! The service is quick and they're kind. One of the waiters would notice everytime something was missing on the table. The place is small and loud. However every Korean restaurant I have been so far has had loud music, which to be honest I don't mind. They always play great music. Parking looks horrible. It wasnt for me becahse I had parked 2 blocks away for an event I attended. I will give this place 5 stars and I would absolutely return again.

korean food is always a must when visiting LA so visited sun nong dan for the first time recently. skipped on their famous galbijim since we weren’t that hungry but would need to come back another time to try it. other stews were solid but nothing special.

seok uh sulung tang: meats were cooked well but broth was fairly bland prior to our additional seasoning. nice comfort food

Something I would appreciated the reviews would highlight: be prepared for a constant 1hr wait line. No reservations online possible. Wasted my time coming here, hoping for a quick meal
